I met [redacted] at [redacted]&filled out a request ofmy requirements: 1 bed wood floors dog 6monthlease. After a 2nd trip,I went on waiting list. I asked again about 6molease. 2/4 they called saying I could pay $300 hold for an apt. that would open in 2wks. Day before the move, [redacted] called saying she forgot about my dog, adding $25/mo. 2/19 I went to sign lease&collect keys. After signing original lease, I saw a problem: it was for 13mo despite specifying repeatedly I wanted6. [redacted] told me there was an added, unadvertised, fee of $50/mo for 6moleases. Shed make a new lease,while I would get a moneyorder for added costs.Id sign when I returned after looking it over to see the prorated amt for Mar& the new term. When I returned,calling to tell the office I was on the way but stuck at a light,it was 6:01&they were closed. I called the #listed for corporate next day, wanting more info about price&new term before I signed. I was annoyed at not moving. Received no call back so I called again. [redacted] did call(after I asked to speak to her supervisor,not her)& said I needed to pick up my keys&do a walkthrough,ignoring my concerns entirely. I called back as soon as I could,again requesting a supervisor&was told [redacted] would get back to me. I had no call from a manager or supervisor,instead from [redacted] using a restricted#. I told her I didnt want to work with her&again said I wanted a supervisor,hoping for a more professional approach/resolution. Fri2/22 I had no keys/lease.I called the other #listed for corporate& asked for a refund or placement in another complex,deciding I wanted nothing to do with the staff that couldnt meet my needs.The man on the phone approved of my idea. However,he called back&said there would be no refund because they had a copy of a 6monlease I signed"BUT I never saw/signed one! I was shocked.He said I could pay rent til they found a new tenant or I could pay 3mos rent upfront&be done.He didnt mention living there as an option for me, which made it seem as if I was being
