Review: .o AJ Automotive Center was recommended to me by a friend who is a mechanic.
So I thought I could trust them with the job of replacing my motor.
Here are the issues that I have with ** Automotive Center.
1. They charged an lot for the job, $800, and they demanded half of that up front.
2. Other places charged $600, and do not demand half of it up front.
3. When the engine came in, they did not say anything about whether it was a good motor not. They accepted it from [redacted]. The motor had a ninety day warranty on it. The motor costs $1100, it was a used [redacted] motor.
4. All of this happened on Dec. 29, 2015. They didn't work on the motor until two weeks later. I had no access to my car for three weeks because they did not make it a priority. I was very patient during that time.
5. When they finally installed it weeks after getting it, they said the motor was bad, that it had a funny noise in it.
6. They recommended that I sent the motor back because it was still under warranty and they would charge me another $800 for the installation.
7. This felt strange to me because had had my car for three weeks, I had invested over two thousand dollars and had no car and a lot less money.
8. I went over insisting that they give me my car back, I still had the $400 that they were to get after the job was completed.
9. ** refused to give me the keys so I could start my car, to see if it would run.
10. I finally got the keys started the car, it would run but not well.
11. ** was keeping my car hostage without having fixed, the hole thing seemed unprofessional and cheap, like someone who had no pride in their work.
12. I finally gave ** the $400, so they would release my car.
13. When I drove it still didn't really work right from the time I took it over there to the time I picked it up on Jan. 18, 2016.
14. I decided to get another motor because the car still wasn't right, they wanted $300 for installation, then changed to $400, for no reason.
15. This has made me illDesired Settlement: I would like the following,
1. A refund of my $800
2. a working motor
3. a help with my medical bills I now have
4. an apology for poor customer sevice
