I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
While I did arrive at the shop when claimed, that is one of the few accurate statements in the responseThe $diagnostic fee mentioned was waived on the final bill The shop stated that they do only apply that if repairs are completed The credit is posted on the bill they presented The repairs began at 4:and were completed at 4: The time stamp mentioned in the response is the time according to their credit card terminal It is not uncommon for the time on an individual credit card terminal to reflect an incorrect time In this case it seems obvious that their terminal remains unchanged to reflect the difference between Daylight and standard times The reason I can state this is that the official time of transaction from the bank is exactly one hour earlier than the time they allege
Further, in the response the company supports the original complaint in that they quote that they billed the labor charge according to the allowable book rate This is what was claimed in the complaint The shop charged what they allege they are alllowed to charge, not the actual amount of time for the repair
With regard to the claim that the customer refused the parts I claim were not provided, the bill provided clearly states that the shop wanted to make repairs on both sides of the vehicle instead of only on the damaged side and that this was rejected The claim was only that they did not provide both brake pads since they said these were only sold in pairs and I had to pay for both I paid for both and only got one
I will try to attach a photo of the bill provided showing these items I can provide documentation from the bank once redacted

I am responding to complaint #***, *** ***, we have him checking in at
class="aQJ" data-term="goog_344726067" tabindex="0" "border-bottom-width: 1px; border-bottom-style: dashed; border-bottom-">3:pm our policy is that when we run tickets to the back we must write down what time the customer's ticket got wrote up. Customer was advised up from about the $check out fee up front, and as you can see it was credited back to him on invoice#***, he was only charged for book time set by the manufacturer (2hrs labor for total ticket), in regards to the parts not being new on the left side brake hose, brake pads are new, and the left front caliper is remanufactured, customer had declined proper repair to both fronts
If you go onto *** you will see that we are below averageIf you add the labor and parts you will find we are a 3rd of the national average
In response to his complaint that the repairs were done at 4:45pm, attached is a copy of his *** receipt and you can see he was billed out at 5:50pm, right after the repairs were done

Review: I went to the business on August 7, 2014 with a brake issue on a 1995 [redacted]. The business did an evaluation and then told me that the vehicle needed brake pads, calipers, hoses, and rotors for the left side and tried to upgrade me to buying for both sides. I declined and agreed to replacing pads, hose and caliper on the left side. The business also told me that this job would take 2 hours to complete at a charge of $85 per hour.

After consultation with my parents we agreed I had no choice since I was traveling and 5 hours away from home. At 4:15 I authorized them to begin the repairs. At 4:45 the repairs were finished. The bill the business presented was for replacement/new brake pads, calipers, and hoses. They also billed me for 2 hours labor. I immediately disputed the charge since they had actually needed 30 minutes labor.

When I returned home my local mechanic looked at the repair job and also told me that, in addition to overcharging for the parts, the business did not put new parts on the vehicle.

I have already instituted a dispute with my credit card companyDesired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to help protect other travelers from being taken advantage of. I also want my credit card credited for the bill amount due to their improper and possibly illegal actions
