I am rejecting this response because:First I'd like to address the inaccuraciesThe Nutcracker is feet tallA nutcracker that is shorter than that is obviously going to be less expensiveIt was given to me last Christmas as a gift from my motherMy mother said she paid $for it and will testify in court that that is how much she paidI said I wanted $for it. Second, I have not responded to Leanne because Leanne never contacted me with that offerThat is a complete lieA third party that hired their company contacted me and I've been playing phone tag with them. To try to get out of paying for the damage their employees did to my item, *** has accused me of lying about the original cost ( or my mother lying), and went so far as to say that her employee didn't damage itShe's also downplayed the damageThe dowels that hold the jaw are broken, so it can't be just glued in with a little glueAlso there's dents in it from it fallingIt is correct that *** found a Nutcracker that was clearanced out for $She claimed she couldn't find any moreHowever, she has failed to admit that I had found some and sent them to herOne for $199.50, another one for $I find it interesting that she wasn't able to find those on her own, or include them in this report since I'd already sent them to herThe one she found for $is not like mine and is not acceptable. The extremely rude behavior I have received from *** is ridiculousI didn't do anything wrongHer worker came into my house made a huge mess and broke one of my itemsNow I just want her company to make it right

[redacted] sent us pictures of the damaged nutcracker.  It's a green, traditional Christmas nutcracker, about 3ft tall.  The jaw that is supposed to move up and down was damaged.  She says that she checked with a wood worker who said they cannot repair it.  I did some research online...

trying to find one like hers for comparison.  I could not find one exactly like hers because there aren't many nutcrackers for sale this time of year.  This is what I found:- A 3ft tall red nutcracker, traditional Christmas style, brand new for $77- A 2ft green nutcracker, closer in appearance to hers, brand new for $40.- A 12" nutcrackers that looked the same as hers, but smaller for around $25. She claimed her mother paid $150 for her nutcracker but she was unable to find a receipt to confirm the purchase price.  We offered her $75 as compensation since I had found brand new ones for that price and hers was not brand new..  I also pointed out to her that although the wood worker may not be able to fix it in a way that the jaw still moves up and down, the jaw could still be glued back into place and it would look the same as before. It is after all a Christmas decoration, not a literal nutcracker. The cosmetic damage to the doll was minimal.  So with the $75 she would have enough money to buy a brand doll and she'd still be able to repair hers with a little wood glue.  She was not happy with that.  On Tuesday she had said that she wanted $125 for the damaged doll.  We offered 2 options:  She could give us the damaged doll (in the same condition it was in in the pictures she sent us) and we would give her the full $125 she was requesting.  Or she could keep the doll, repair it and we would give her $75.  We never got a response.
