On Thursday, 11/7/13 we took our [redacted] to this garage to have a cracked radiator fixed nand they quoted a price around $346. On 11/8/13 they contacted me saying they ran into further problems saying tthat the water pumped needed fixed and I specifically asked what the price would be, this person led me to believe that the total cost would be $536 however when we went to pick up the car the price went up to $984 and they changed the timing belt without permission. When my husband went to drive it home, the car was running the entire time we were there. When the pull it out of the garage there was a leak coming from the bottom. They tell us to bring it back on 11/11/13 & they will see what is going on. We purposely did not drive it the entire weekend so when I went to start it yesterday it would not start. They came to my house and almost immediately said it was the converter belt. Also claimed that another was a hose had to much pressure built up however after checking after they left you could literally press the hose together. He further said he will tell if he takes the cap off the radiator & when attempting to start the car, if antifreeze pops up then it is the converter belt and of course it did even though no matter what that will happen no matter what. He also made it a point to say that it was not on them but on us for driving it hot (which we did not, we always made a point to keep water/antifreeze in it until it went in the garage). When speaking to 3 different people that work on cars, they all state that even if a converter belt goes out the car would still start no matter what. One last thing, when looking under the hood, the new radiator is not even tightly put it in, you can literally wiggle it back and forth. I don't know what they did but other than the radiator our car was running just fine going in but now worse coming out!
