This company installed a keyless entry lock on our house on or about May 10th, 2011. My wife was told by the technician how to operate the lock and when she did so the lock only functioned in a manner which left the house in an unsecure state. The instructions the technician gave my wife indicated the lock to be operated by pressing the lock icon to lock the door and then the entry/opening of the lock to be accomplished by entering a sequence of chosen numbers to throw the bolt. The lock was left so that the door could only be locked by using the sequence of numbers and then the icon had to be depressed to throw the bolt, leaving the house in complete compromise since anyone could have opened the door by merely pressing the lock icon. The amount charged for this item was over a hundred percent above retail! And there was a service call charged, along with a labor charge, that was excessive. This company also installed a single cylinder dead bolt on our back door and again the amount charged was well over a hundred percent above the average retail price for the same item! After talking with the manager of the company, (reached at [redacted], press 3 and ask who answers for the manager who is there between 12 noon and 5 p.m.,) no compromise/ solution was reached. No foul or cursive language was used by either party.
