A Job Well Done Reviews (15)

A Job Well Done is an excellent contractor: reliable, reasonable, neat, experienced, and skilled in the details of renovation, construction, installation, and repair. He is honest, trustworthy, organized, customer oriented, and personable--a true professional.

This is the second job I've used "A Job Well Done" for. [redacted] has replaced water damaged flooring and an exterior door and window, both of which were rotted. He is a true professional. Fair pricing, shows up on time when he says he will be there, and cleans up after the job. I will use [redacted] for any future projects and would recommend him and his company to others.

[redacted] has done many jobs for us in the past 2 years and he is extremely professional, punctual and does a terrific job. We will continue to ask Mike to do projects for us in the future.

[redacted] was a perfect choice to do our renovations. Our home is over 45 years old and there were many challenges. [redacted] met and solved these challenges with innovated ideas and methods. The project was done in a timely manner and before the projected end date. I would highly recommend [redacted] to anyone who is needs the perfect contractor.

Mike [redacted] does amazing work! His company has the perfect name because any job he does is a job well done! He just completed a bathroom remodel (a complete gut) and it turned out amazing. He has also done other jobs for me...installing a pocket door and prepping a closet space for a California Closet organizing system. He is my go-to contractor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a contractor.

I have had 2 bathrooms & a kitchen remodeled by A Job Well Done. He is prompt, clean, stays on his timeline. I am very happy w/his work & would highly recommend him. He's also very patient & will work w/you re any changes that you want.

[redacted] has worked with us for at least five years and has completed every job properly. He responds promptly and is experienced in every kind of home repair. He is also very trustworthy.

I highly recommend[redacted] and A Job Well Done. We added a gas fireplace to our family room last year. [redacted] did the initial framing for the fireplace, as well as all the finish work, including installing the mantle and cabinets. I was especially impressed by his attention to detail.

In addition to his very high quality work, [redacted] is easy to work with. He coordinated his work with the fireplace contractor and finished the job on time and in budget. He always arrived when he said he would from his initial visit to quote the job through the entire project. He is very fair and trustworthy.

[redacted] from A Job Well Done does excellent work. [redacted] is always prompt and always leaves the work site clean. We have been very pleased with [redacted] work and would highly recommend him and A Job Well Done.

[redacted] re-did a master bathroom for us and it was truly a job well done! He is excellent to work with, his craftmanship is superb. We are not easy to please and he exceeded our expectations by far. He is trustworthy and we would recommend him completely. He also did a couple of other projects - attic stairs and rebulding a window frame. Both done in a timely manner and excellent work.

Best contractor experience I ever had! [redacted] was great from start to finish. He immediately responded to all communications. He was always on time for all meetings. He started work on the date promised and finished the work right on schedule! His cost estimate was right on, and he did not add on questionable extras. And the work he did was excellent. He left everything clean and in order. I will definitely call him again for any project.

have had several jobs done by A Job Well Well Done ( Mike Smith) and have been extremely pleased with the total quality of the work for every job. From assistance with concept and design to estimating to job execution Mike is very professional and the final work is excellent. He also meets all of his time commitments.

[redacted], of a Job Well Done, performed excellent work for us to repair water damage in our basement as a result of this winter's ice damming. He was able to repair the trim, baseboards, carpeting, siding, lay tile and paint so that the finished effect was better than the original. We were very satisfied with his professionalism, quality of work, timeliness, neatness and price.

Review: This complaint is about the kitchen remodeling project completed with defects by the company A Job Well Done, Inc by a contractor [redacted] The project was scheduled to run from 5/28/13 through 7/13/13 however completed ahead of time - on July 3rd. On that day [redacted] has received the final payment from us. Installing hardwood floor on the kitchen was part of the project. July 2nd [redacted]h removed the floor covering in the kitchen and that revealed that several hardwood boards that his subcontractor installed became warped and discolored. The next day the responsible subcontractor showed up, inspected the defects including measurements of the moisture levels absorbed by the affected boards which turned out to be within norm, and advised to wait 2-3 weeks to see the dynamics, may be the floor would get flat again. July 29th the subcontractor showed up again, confirmed no improvements in the floor condition, poked several holes in the floor and left to discuss the damage repair plan with [redacted]. To our surprise when [redacted] contacted us on the punch list resolution plan it turned out that he wasnt going to repair the defects of the delivered job but gave us a new estimate as though for a brand new piece of work 1100 dollars. We think that this is unfair as the damage was done during and caused by the kitchen remodeling itself or may be by the wet boards of substandard quality. New hardwood floor is one item of the project. The project wasnt completed free of defects even though we paid for it in full hoping for the punch list to be fixed out of contingency incorporated in the contract. Please help us resolve this issue with the defect of the installed hardwood floor that the contractor is rejecting to fix. We are not happy with the quality of the flooring job and the attitude of the firm A Job Well Done, LLC and would rather have the repair done by someone else.Desired Settlement: Our experience with this particular contractor turned into a series of unfortunate events. Demolishing cabinets scratching the kitchen window pane, they remove the covering from the hardwood floor it became cupped and then in addition to that they poked holes in it to check for moisture, etcDealing with them in a fair manner doesnt work and we would rather not see them again. The defects still need to be repaired and we will have it done by other contractor.A Job Well Done, LLC has come up with the estimate of the repair. We would unconditionally settle the case if the firm compensates the cost of the repair 1100 dollars. We dont want them to do the repair.

Response:

I have read the complaint submitted. What was not included in the complaint is the situation that lead to the cupping of the floor. Below is an account of what happened.
