Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/01/21) */
The daughter of one of the guests did book the appointments. When she first called, we told her we couldn't accommodate the services because she wanted BOTH a manicure and pedicure for each of the three ladies and we didn't have enough time...

before closing to finish. We spoke to the staff about staying late to get the clients in and they agreed since it was a birthday present. We called the daughter back and she booked the appointments. There is NO salon or spa that does an "either or" situation. A manicure is $22 and a pedicure is $40. Some staff do Manicures but not Pedicures...no salon can book this way. Certain staff are Licensed to do specific things and that's why a salon and spa in Illinois at least must know what services they are booking not to mention the price difference. When the clients checked in they did think they were only getting one or the other and we explained that BOTH were booked. Two of the ladies were thrilled but [redacted] was not. She told us that she would NEVER book a pedicure which we didn't understand by the way she was describing the "either or". If that's what the daughter told her then her response should have been "I will take the manicure because I do NOT do pedicures". The client did ask to speak to me privately. She told me that it was bad business to charge for services not received. When I tried to explain our policy, she told me to shut up. She just wouldn't give us a moment to resolve anything. In this private conversation, she told me to shut up a total of three times. The only reason we did not call the police for her erratic behavior is that this was a birthday present for one of the clients and we didn't want to ruin the experience for her. [redacted] has given us a bad review on our Facebook and everywhere else she can even though the other two ladies both told me in front of [redacted] that this was the BEST services they had ever received and would be back. Recently she posted on a PAID AD on Facebook. At this point, we feel that [redacted] is harassing us and threatened us so we have sent all the files, videos and correspondence to our corporate Attorney and plan to pursue her for harassment and defamation of character because she is interfering with advertising. I would also like to point out that we did offer [redacted] a gift certificate for the $ 40 pedicure that she paid for but didn't receive and she refused it. After we told her that we were pursuing charges of harassment because she posted directly on a paid AD, she accepted the gift certificate and [redacted](birthday girl's husband) picked it up at the salon. The gift certificate is for $40 instead of the $80 she keeps referring to. Her total was for $80 (manicure with nail art added and french polish added and the $40 pedicure). We really think that the problem was an eighteen year old booking services for them and had no idea what she was doing. I would also like to say that not only did we go over the services booked at the time of booking, we also confirmed the appointments 24 hours before as we do for all our guests and once again, no one said it was expected to be an "either or". We confirmed all three ladies and 6 services. We also sent [redacted] to our website to review our polices which have been that way for 19 years. I am sorry that [redacted] doesn't agree with them but that is the best part of freedom in that if she doesn't want to do business with me, she doesn't have to but to try and destroy someone and there business is unacceptable.
Clients cannot book hours and hours of appointments and the decide at the moment of the services that they are not doing them. This daughter booked 6 hours worth of appointments and then [redacted] only wanted 3 hours of services. Businesses cannot do this.
