Review: [redacted](owner)installed an AC unit at my rental property located at [redacted](Oct/Nov 2014)not sure which month.He claims the business has no record of the work in their Quicken program,and besides,they only give one year warranties. NO PAPERWORK was ever left behind upon completion of the installation.Unit stopped cooling week of 6-19-16.I called and was informed of their business practices of NO PAPERWORK/DOCUMENTATION for customers. No name/address in their system. I assured them that the installation had occurred!! After three phone conversations plus two they had with my tenants,an appointment was set for noon on 07-28-16. They later changed it for between 3 and 5 PM. [redacted] arrived and took one look at the dirty filter that had been changed and started RANTING and RAVING about how much damage had been done, how much time and labor it was going take to repair the unit back to working order. his estimate was for at least $400.00. His professional assessment was entirely based upon the filter. He never bothered to check the AC unit. It was very low freon. May have a major problem.Desired Settlement: (1)Printed material about AC unit (2)Printed information about AC warranty (3)Copy of city permit obtained for installation (4)Documentation of purchase and installation (5)$171.00 reimbursement for freon (6) Extended warranty or Replacement or refund (7)Eliminate his $75.00 maintenance fee charged when his $400.00 labor services were refused

On October 31, 2014 we have installed new condenser and coil (invoice no. [redacted]) for the customer. We were paid with the check for the work performed, check no. [redacted].All the warranty paper work, documentation and work order receipt was left with the customer. At the time of the service on 06/19/2016 warranty the paperwork was laying inside the utility closet next to unit.After inspection of the unit found blower assembly and AC coil plugged up with dust, dusty filter was removed by the tenant at some point, furnace service doors switched around letting dusty air into the unit. We mailed out our invoice for diagnostics fee of $75 and estimated cleaning cost of $325.The customer has refused to pay for cleaning and demanded us to do it for free assuming that warranty covers homeowner's negligence.A dirty A/C coil will show low refrigerant levels during operation. If the issue was resolved just by adding more Freon We are willing to eliminate our diagnostics fee and reimburse the customer $171 for Freon cost provided that she has proof of a licensed contractors invoice that was paid for Freon.Strongly recommend to get unit cleaned to prevent any future malfunctions. Factory parts warranty is in effect though 10/31/2024 the labor warranty is in effect till 10/31/2017. Filters need to be replaced every 3 months.Enclosed are the copy of the check, invoice no.
