AL Serini was paid in advance to install my awning The service was scheduled to be performed during the week of May 14, AL Serini has yet to install the awning I contacted AL Serini regarding the installation and on June 12th was told the installation would be completed by June 17th AL Serini has yet not completed the installation I contacted AL Serini on June 19th to inquire about when the installation would be completed and AL Serini refused to provide a date AL Serini offered a refund but, after having full use of my payment for several months, a refund of my payment would not properly compensate me for the loss I need the awning installed as my kitchen and family room are too bright in the afternoon and evening The brightness aggravates a medical condition in my eyes for which I am losing my eyesight

New awning installed and was paid in full awning is leaking .Contractor suggested that I should fix it myself hie reply was he does not service in Philadelphia then why did he accept the job .The owner should bad language on the phone

May 15,Dear *** *** -I am in receipt of your letter dated May 11, 2015, regarding the above “Delivery Issues” complaintI regret that you have to be troubled by this rather insignificant matter. Before presenting the company’s side of this case, please be assured that
this matter already has been resolved; delivery was successfully made on May 8,without any problems, prior to our receiving this complaint. That said, our customer *** *** conveniently left out a number of important facts regarding this case, which centers on the repair and re-installation of his deck awning*** ***’s awning was damaged last year in a hail/ice/rain storm, causing of its fabric panels to stretch out of shapeOur customer contacted his homeowner’s insurance company which was only willing to have the awning repaired and not replacedBased on my years of sell ing awnings, our usual course of action under the circumstances would be replacement, not repairHowever, because *** *** did not want to incur any out-of-pocket expenses to replace the awning, I agreed that we would “do our best” to repair his awning instead, stressing to him that this would be the first time we’ve ever done so, and being careful not to promise him completely satisfactory results.Accordingly, I prepared a cost estimate for the repair (see attached), which his insurance company subsequently approved in December Although the estimate stipulated an initial deposit of $(based on the custom nature of the work), I agreed to waive the deposit when *** *** expressed reluctance to incur any up-front expensesThus we began work on his awning without it costing *** *** any money whatsoever. The repair and re-installation of the awning was to be completed no later than April (not “early April”, as claimed by *** ***)Unfortunately, the repair process went much slower than anticipated and actually our first attempt at the repair was unsuccessful and quite frankly looked terribleI wasn’t all that surprised at the results, given that this was our first time effecting such repairNonetheless, we then had to the repair (this time with much greater success) and once it was completed we then had to wash *** ***’s awning, as outlined in the original cost estimate. As mentioned, all of this work took much longer than expectedI tried to explain the situation to *** *** who in fact kept calling regularly, as if the constant calls and his need for an update would somehow expedite the matterInstead, it got to the point of annoyance and even harassment such that in our last conversation I had to firmly (and loudly) remind *** *** that:1) the repair process was very complicated, and we were doing the best we could;2) we were doing him a large favor by repairing and not replacing his awning (which in hindsight I should have absolutely insisted on), so his constant questions, criticisms, and comments were uncalled for and not welcome;3) he would get his awning as soon as we were done with it, whenever that would be in the next few days; and4) unlike us, he had not incurred and would not incur any monetary expenses whatsoever in this matter,If that was a “rant” and a “tantrum”, then it was well-deserved, in my opinion. As I write this response letter to you, *** *** still owes us $as originally agreed (see attached invoice)Per the estimate, he was supposed to pay the balance COD (with the money he had received from his insurance company!) but told my crew that he refused to do so because “the job was so late”Now in his complaint to you *** *** has requested a reduction in price because I “yelled” at himYou may draw your own conclusions, but to me he is not the kind of customer we want, having been in business yearsNeedless to say, I emphatically reject any lowering of the balance due and expect to be paid in full as originally agreed by 5/31/or we will be forced to commence legal action against *** *** on our own.Whatever you can do to expedite such payment in a more amicable fashion would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Sincerely,
Lee SPresident and General Manager

Review: In January I called to have my dining room awning repaired. I paid $75 and the awning was taken for repair. This awning has still not been returned and reinstalled on my house. Mr. Sereni said, at first, that they couldn't find it. Many weeks later, he said it had been found and was inside another, larger awning. He said it would be installed the next week (approximately three weeks ago). When the awning was still not installed on y house, I called Mr Sereni. I asked when it would be installed. He replied that he did not know. I then said that I had missed one entire month of the summer -- June -- without the awning. I said I hoped it would be installed soon. "I hope so too," he replied. It is now June 30th and the awning has still not been reinstalled on my home. I have made numerous phone calls about this and I am now at the point where I am hoping the Revdex.com will have better luck with Mr. Sererni than I did. He seems very unconcerned about this, in my opinion.Desired Settlement: I want my awning reinstalled on my house. I also do not expect to be billed, as this issue has dragged on for months.

Review: This company was contracted to reinstall an awning that goes on my patio. I sent a check for $66 in March 2014 which was cashed by them in March. The agreement was to install the awning sometime around May 16 with a 2 week window. I have called every week since May 28 asking about when to expect the awning. I have a voice message from June 6 stating that it would be installed either June 8, 9 or 10. I spoke with the owner on June 11 and he assured me that the awning was "on the truck for today" and would be installed Wed June 11. It has not been installed. I am not sure how to proceed. I paid them to take down the awning and to clean and repair it last October. They did come and remove the awning. The owner assures me that they have not lost the awning.Desired Settlement: I would like the awning reinstalled ASAP or I would like to be reimbursed for the replacement cost of a new awning.
