Review: Kept my vehicle for two days refusing to give it back. Only service done was changing the air filter and downloading a free patch for my vehicle' computer. Lied to me, on numerous occations, over charged me, and refused to give me access to my vehicle.Desired Settlement: Caused me to have 2 days without a vehicle, had to gain ride elsewhere when he said he would deliver. Refused to give my vehilce back. Would not give me a bill so I could pay and leave. Charged me an excessive amount for work done. Caused me loss of work wages I could have made had I been able to get to work.
Review: Our car was in an accident in July, the tire came off and caused damage to the fender. We took it to Cabinet Motors for them to fix it. The motor was also having issues to so we asked them when they were finished fixing the body if they could look into it. The company was having problems with my insurance([redacted]). Apparently they had a hard time connecting with each other to discuss the cost to fix it. So I talked to [redacted] and they switched the person that they were dealing with so we could get the estimate done and over. So in September [redacted] sent Cabinet Motors a check for $918.20 (check number 164615211). [redacted] said that the check was cashed September 25th. Cabinet Motors is not a company that [redacted] usually goes through so they were unable to help me fix this problem. When I go into talk to Cabinet motors I get the same response "I will have your car done by end of week" or "I need to get the paint finished". I am a stay at home mom and my husband works in North Dakota. So hard for him to deal with it when he is not home and I just go to bus stop Monday-Thursday and store when needed. I believed that everything was being handled and the months flew by. I had gone in there two weeks before Thanksgiving to discuss the car once again and see about motor, I got the same response as before. My husband was home for Thanksgiving and he had try to get a hold of Cabinet Motors numerous of times. No response back and he had to head back to work. I went in there Tuesday December 10th to discuss what was going on with the car they were in shop where my car was. Come to find out the Company has not done anything to the car. It is in the exact shape it was in July. The owner told me the reason my car is in the same shape is because he checked to motor (when I came in November) and it has a blown head gasket. Tells me is will cost around $1,000 to $1,500 to fix it. He took our 1992 Chevy blazer to fix the doors and heater so I would have a working 4 wheel drive since my car is all wheel and its now winter.Desired Settlement: We are asking for a refund and to have the car taken to a completely different shop to get the body work finished and to get the motor fixed properly. Also we are wanting him to pay for everything. The cost of the motor to get fixed, to pay for the cost of the body work, our 1992 Blazer back (fixed) with no cost to us, and also our deductible covered for the new body shop to fix the car.
