As a customer of a la Couture I want to say that it's not just about a piece of jewelry that you buy to wear and it ends there. It's much more than that. I am the proud owner of a few pieces/sets and I can truly say I love every piece. The product is one thing, the packaging was beautifully wrapped and when opened, it was carefully secured to avoid damage. And about what I mentioned earlier that this company is much more than just a piece of jewelry, would be their customer service. Top notch is too little of a word. From patience with questions answered to help me make a choice amongst so many beautiful pieces and what would work for me, before investing in buying. Not forgetting to mention an actual situation when I damaged my necklace due to my own fault....Ruma made sure I sent it back to a la Couture who repaired it at no cost to me and shipped back at no cost to me. This is the kind of vendor I enjoy shopping from. When it's not just about the money spent but true importance when it comes to their customers being satisfied. Thank you a la couture and I look forward to keep shopping for those exquisite pieces from you.

I have bought several sets from this vendor. The designs of jewelry are just beautiful and the quality is great and what is more impressive is the customer service. The owner and her employees are very friendly and very qualified at what they do and respond to any query,
immediately.Ive been buying from this website for over 4 years now and have never been disappointed. The business owner is easy to reach and will do everything to keep the customer happy.
I would recommend this buisiness to everyone!

Many thanks for your kind words and appreciation dear. We truly appreciate you and your support very much!!!

I am super angry and upset with myself for trusting online advertisements. In my enthusiasm to buy something nice for my daughter's 21st birthday, I bought her 4 sets from A La Couture Jewelry store.
I swallowed the description as is on their website, which clearly stated "semi-precious emerald and ruby". I paid close to $700 in all for the 4 sets. The first arrived very sloppily packed (a smaller card box was provided and the necklace was in a plastic bag outside the box!) with 3 obviously damaged stones. To my horror the one set (out of the 4 ordered) for which I had paid close to $300 had no emerald and rubies as described, they were totally fake!!
When I contacted the company they conveniently blamed the damage on postal service. When I asked them about the garish looking stones they first said, "the set is embellished with semi-precious ruby and emerald. We never use precious stones in our jewelry because they are very expensive however we use if a client requests for it.".
The owner then gets back to me and says, "stones are semi-precious meaning lab created stones".
Now the stones in the set (Noora set) I have with me currently, are definitely not lab created ruby or emerald in any way! When I asked her to be honest with her website description, the owner tells me that she is well versed with the law of the land!!
In my opinion, the jewelry is overpriced, and you are not getting what is being promised. Other online stores are far far better and much much cheaper.
Only after I contacted Paypal and placed a complaint against A La Couture did A La Couture finally agree to give me a refund for the damaged product.
I took the damaged necklace to *** Jewelers on Bridgstreet Mall (Huntsville) and had the jeweler, Mr. Joel *** take a look at it. BTW, Mr. Joel has 35 yrs of work experience. When I asked him to take a look he spotted 6 damaged stones.
Next, when I told him that the green stones were supposed to be emeralds, he laughed at me!! He said that they are thin glass pieces stuck to a plastic sheet at the back. The glass pieces were glued on.
Now, as you recall the owner of A La Couture had very clearly told me that the stones are lab-created emeralds and rubies.
My question is how are such people continuing to do business?

Hello,

I am the owner of a La Couture and have personally tried to rectify the issue at hand with *** along with educating her on the fact that we sell costume jewelry with semi-precious/lab created gemstones. She expected to purchase real emerald and ruby jewelry at a fraction of the cost of real jewelry and we blatantly state on each product's description the materials used in each piece and it is widely known that we sell COSTUME JEWELRY- we never stated otherwise. She also informed us that she is "no gem expert" yet feels so strongly about accusing us of mispractice. We NEVER claimed to use real emeralds and rubies in our pieces but semi-precious gemstones which are commonly used in Indian jewelry. We even offered her a refund FAR before her filing a Paypal case. We have even informed her we WILL refund her in full once we get our jewelry back yet no jewelry has been received back from her end as of yet. We simply want our jewelry back to refund her - which is obviously expected in the case of a return. We have a strong customer base of satisfied clients and unfortunately there is nothing further we can do to make *** happy-we have already tried our best. She has further gone on to threaten us and all we simply want is our jewelry back for a refund. We have thousands of happy clients and many orders filled with no complaints such as ***'s- if we were in the wrong, then we would have had many, many more complaints. However, that is not our business practice. Our team is one of really hard working women and many of them are mom's- we give our all in making sure our clients are happy and it truly is disappointing to see that *** has tried to harm us so much when we simply wish to cooperate with her and give her the money back she paid but she has yet to send back our jewelry for a refund.

I am sorry but I guess the owner of the company cannot comprehend what I am trying to say. My complaint is that the company is advertising falsely. My anger is because they continue to lie at every step of the way.
I received 1 of the 4 sets ordered. Of which I received only one damaged one. The other 3 sets have NEVER been received. I had requested to cancel my order on Nov., 30 at 4.14 pm and asked to be refunded. I have not seen a penny returned even FOR THE SETS THAT I HAVE PAID AND NEVER RECEIVED!!!!!! BY the way, I paid close to $700 for the 4 sets.
The owner said that she uses lab created gems. The *** Jeweller, Mr. Joel, laughed when I asked him to take a look and see since I am no "gem expert" and told him that this is being palmed off as "lab created ruby and emerald". He told me that they are colored pieces of thin glass that have been glued on. There is NO sign fo lab created gems. So my question is why would anyone pay $369 (this is the advertised price on their website) for a set that now they say as costume jewelry but advertised as not being so!! They are selling stuff that is garish and so cheap for such as exorbitant price!
Since I did not hear from the company till Monday (Dec., 3rd), I filed a complaint with Paypal first thing that morning. Paypal immediately responded by letting me know that they have contacted the owner. I only received a response from the owner on Nov. 3rd at 12.59 pm. Now they say that they responded before my official complaint with Paypal. Please get the concept of time right!!
I had let the owner know (on Nov. 3rd) that I get home very late on Mondays and will mail the piece of jewelry to her on Tuesday. Which I did. By the way, this is how sloppy they are. They had sent the set to me in a flat rate Priority mail box. The owner told me to send it to her back carefully packed. I repacked the damaged set as carefully as I could in a flat rate Priority mail box (exactly the one that it had come to me) and when I get my way to the postal office counter they tell that the postage (paid for by the owner) is for a priority mail envelope, not even a box! So I have to repack, get back in line...and mail it to them. This is how much of their own product they value...they want me to pack a piece of jewelry in a flimsy envelope. Their actions speak of the true value of the jewelry.
Last but now the least, it amuses me that the owner keeps repeating what a hard-working bunch of the people they are. I want to ask, who is NOT working hard? Who is being paid for sitting around and doing nothing? I really wish to know this.
I am so DONE with A La Couture. I will never ever recommend anyone from buying anything from them.

The client continues to accuse us of mispractice and the information above is very much so a lie. We have NO problem in refunding her however, she opened a Paypal case before she even tried to resolve the issue with us, her refund would have been processed SO much sooner but Paypal is now in the middle. She even opened the case in a wrong manner, opening it as a "complaint" first which is such a long and drawn out process by Paypal. We answered the complaint a long time back and it's still going on- we cannot even refund her til Paypal allows it and Paypal is the middle person in the entire claim now- we wish badly to refund this lady who continues to threaten us and accuse us and it's become a bit draining to deal with when we simply want to return her money to her.

The package that was returned to us- we offered a return label to make it easier for her to ship the item back to us, we use a hosting platform called ***- they allow us to send return labels to clients and it specifically states that the client can send the package back in any box and that we would incur the charges for whatever way the client ships the item back, clearly the USPS representative was not aware of this and sadly advised this to the client when it is simply not true. *** has worked many new agreements with USPS and services that we are offering on our online platform, many of the USPS representatives are not aware of. I know this from first hand experience bc normally, USPS Priority Mail packages are only insured up to $50 however, bc we buy shipping labels via ***- they offer us insurance up to $100 and when I questioned a rep in a USPS facility of this -they had no idea about it. SO , again, this false accusation is simply not true, i'm sorry that the USPS rep was not educated on this and it is not our fault once again.

Further, the item was returned back to us broken, the client told us very blatantly and rudely on email that she will not exercise any caution or care in shipping the item back, after I very nicely asked her if she could please pack it well and ship it back in a manner so that it does not break in transit. She clearly neglected that and sent the item back so poorly packed. We not once emailed her to let her know of our loss there due to her lack of care. We simply wish to return this ladies money bc we cannot make her feel any better about anything, we tried to talk to her in a very calm and kind manner and yet she continues to write emails that are extremely rude and out of context. We tried our level best and that is all we can do at this point is wait for Paypal to slowly handle this bc she has opened a paypal case. We will HAPPILY refund her back the amount due once she finally sorts this with Paypal now.
