A week ago I submitted for bids from limo companies. I've been shopping around. I called this company for more information on what it would include. They told me I had to submit a reservation request online with details and they'll call me back with to discuss it and possibly book it. I went online read they're policy. It stated that there would be a 25% no refund for held reservations. It stated that no online reservation inquiries are confirmed until we speak on the phone to confirm it. When they called me back they told me that they were completly booked for that date, that I must have the wrong date, and that they would never send a bid on a busy month and for such a low price. They said that if I sent them the e-mail they would try to honor it. I sent it to them to show them that I did not have wrong information but that I no longer wish to further pursue the company for services. They then charged me for a cancellation fee. However, there was never a confirmed/held reservation to cancel, nor did I receive a confirmation number or e-mail with all the facts or iteneraries. Between the time we spoke and the time I sent them the e-mail they never held a spot for that day becuase they said they were all booked up. I called them this morning to speak to them about a refund. They said its their policy that I was wrong for going online and filling out a reservation request...etc. I informed them that I called orignally and that they instructed me to do so in order to speak with them on the phone. If I knew that I would be charged just for price shopping I would have never done it. I trusted they're company to be true and honest. They also made me repeat myself at least 3 times everytime in order to understand me and they just kept insuating that it was my fault. They keep saying I'm wrong, and to refer to my email. By that I don't know what that means. They also they want to involve theyre legal team and send me paperwork. The more I speak to them the more it sounds like a scam.
