In response to the complaint made against A Life Made Simple on the Revdex.com
website under ID [redacted], I am responding and/or rebutting to each complaint topic the in order they were made. Our address is not on the website,
however all our other contact information is provided...

there. Our address is
listed on the rental agreement that Complainant executed
on June 5, 2015, on Page 3. That
information could have also been requested via email,
phone, online request form, etc. For further reference, and to acknowledge that this complaint was mailed
to, our business address is [redacted], NY [redacted]. On A Life Made Simple website for this vacation rental of [redacted] Estates, it does not state
at it is a waterfront property, nor that there is water access, right-of-way, ingress/egress or any
riparian rights to and from the water. It states: "A peaceful
Adirondack experience on the western side of the lake, away from noisy highways but convenient to all of the area attractions, including [redacted]. A quiet retreat, located just outside of [redacted] Village, in a private, friendly association. This authentic, Non-Smoking, 1940's cabin, would love to host you for your Adirondack get-a-way. The Master Bedroom has one king size bed, with TV
& Air conditioning and plenty of armoir space. The Family Room/
2nd Bedroom: This room doubles  as the
family room or 2nd bedroom. It is not a private room, but can be closed off. The
room has one double futon, 1 double,
pull-out couch, loveseat,  TV with digital
cable, and adjoins the screen porch. The kitchen has a refrigerator, small dishwasher, stovetop range,
microwave,  coffee  maker,  blender,  and  toaster and is stocked with plates, cups, pots, pans,
etc. The bathroom has a stall  shower, toilet, sink. Amenities: BBQ from the outside deck while  taking  in beautiful views of [redacted]. The Screen Porch
provides a place to rest, read, play games, enjoy your morning coffee
& more! Adirondack Chairs, Fire
Pit and firewood provided ...Access [redacted] for swimming, fishing, kayaking or to just take in the authentic beauty! Pet Friendly!!" Renter checked in on September 4, 2015. On September 5, 2015 I received a phone called from a resident of the Homeowners' Association to inform us that the renters had their [redacted] unleashed and it was running around. I then called the renter and informed them that although the home itself was pet-friendly, the Association regulated loose animals and that all dogs must be leashed unless in water, at which point they would still have to be supervised. A copy of the Homeowners' Association Rules and Regulations were provided to the renters in their rental welcome package, along with being posted
at the premises.  After I relayed this
information to her, I further asked her if everything else at the house was sufficient.   She stated the "yard was a mess".   I sent maintenance immediately over to discover that the
lawnscaping crew took the chairs off of grass to mow and never put them back. Prior to arrival, the renter stated that she did not know
what time they would be arriving. At
that point, and for her complete convenience, I gave her the choice to get the keys from our office prior to 8:00pm, or  I can leave the door open with the keys and welcome packet inside the property. She chose to have the door left open, On September 7, 2015, when the cleaners entered the premises to clean, they noticed a stain on the carpet.  It is within normal business conduct that upon departure; the housekeeping staff goes into each unit to inspect and clean. It was the same
staff that cleaned the house prior to
check in, and it was at that point hat they discovered a very large stain on the living room carpet. I reached out to the renter to inquire about the stain, in hopes of cleaning it. She stated that the stain was there when she
arrived. I immediately went over to the property, saw and felt the rug and it was still saturated.  On September 8, 2015, I was contacted by [redacted] again via email, and she accused my cleaning staff of pouring cleaning products on the stain and creating it themselves while cleaning the unit after her departure. This is not in line with her original claim that the stain was there at arrival. I spoke with the home owner and she
agreed to withhold $100.00 from the security deposit to have the carpet replaced. Upon removal of the carpet we discovered that the stain seeped into the wood  floor below and caused further damage.  I contacted [redacted] and let her know, I was going to get a quote for the damage to the floor. I am not attacking anyone's character, however l do believe that the past
rener is falsely accusing and defaming our business name and reputation, and if it does not cease and desist immediately, and handled appropriately and rationally, we  will  take  legal recourse to do so. I believe the miscommunication between the parties is due to the renter's misinterpretation and
misunderstanding of the legal contract she executed prior to
consummation of the  premises, especially take note of the Cleaning and Security Deposit sections of said Contract. The fact that the damage was not there prior to check in, and there is damage subsequent to their departure, she is obligated and liable for the damages done while she occupied the premises. I have obtained quotes to fix said items in question.

Consumer relayed the following on behalf of the business. Revdex.com has been unable to confirm with the business: Consumer states business contacted her and agreed to refund security deposit if complaint is closed Resolved.
