Review: In September 2013, I signed an agreement with [redacted] for partial planning services for my wedding that was coming up on October 4, 2014 and put down a deposit of $800.00. Contact with [redacted] was slow in the beginning, with her taking several days to respond to emails. Eventually, [redacted] stopped responding to my emails at all, and also stopped responding to text messages. [redacted] maintained sporadic contact with the groom's step-mother, setting up appointments with a tent vendor, and then cancelling at the last minute several times. [redacted] did not follow through with sending planning items that she told me she would be sending, despite several requests for those items from both myself and the groom. [redacted] did at one point send a portion of a planning document that had been copy/pasted from another person's wedding, and that still had incorrect names listed within it. [redacted] attended one meeting with us in October, after which point contact with her ceased almost entirely. In January, after months of no responses from her and when no planning progress had been made on her end despite emails asking for updates, I emailed [redacted] to say that we were not interested in working with her any longer and asked that she please refund the portion of our $800.00 deposit that is not needed to cover the cost of the meeting that she attended. [redacted] emailed back right away, stating that she agreed that planning was not going well, thus confirming that she received my email. She did not mention her plans for the deposit, despite a follow-up email that I sent right away asking her to let us know of her plans for the refund. A few days later, I mailed a certified letter restating what I had said in the termination email, and asking that she refund the remainder of our deposit by January 24, 2014. I received the signed delivery receipt from the letter, but have not heard anything from [redacted] since the email that she sent confirming the end of the working relationship. I would like for [redacted] to issue a partial refDesired Settlement: I would like for [redacted] to issue a partial refund of $500.00.
