A & M Parking Lot Inc Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I do not agree with the anount owed or with anything that was stated by the business because when the payment was made on April [redacted] we agreed that $1570 was the amount due, I was told by [redacted] that as long as the car remained in the lot if $1570 was paid it would cover all the charges. As of June [redacted] I have been attempting payment and when I called that I would go pay he initially told me that he was leaving in an hr and if I could make it there and pay $570 he would accept that and I would have to remove the car (although he knew the car was not yet registered) and once I accepted the offer he then said I had 30 mins to get to the lot if not he would not accept the check and I would  have to pay $770(knowing I live in downtown Manhattan and the lot is in the bronx), because there was no way I would be able to make it on time I couldn't make payment that day nor remove the car. There is a big sign in the lot that states the daily charge for late payment is $10 a day. On June [redacted] I went in to speak with [redacted] and spoke to his son, they let me know that they had received the letter from Revdex.com and would reply the following week. They would not give me an amount owed nor did they tell me that if there was no payment made that another lean would be placed on the car. The payment of $1570 that was made in april was a payment for the full amount owed and I was due for a payment of $175 on May [redacted] which was agreed upon at the time they received that payment.
Like I stated previously I have been over charged for the amount of 1580 and although I had been I still was more than willing to pay the month of $570 that was told to me although the payment should have consisted of $175 plus the late payment of 20 days at the rate of $12 for a total of 252 plus the 175 with a complete total of 427.
Furthermore as I have been making it clear to [redacted] of the lot I would like to remove the car from the lot as soon as possible, because I have been already overcharged on the $1570 that was already paid (because of their daily charge of $12 instead of $10 as it clearly states in huge letters on their sign) and because I have been attempting to make payment before the balance continued to rise and they have not been willing to accept payment, I would like to agree to remove the car from the lot at no cost because they have been the ones to not allow me to remove it. If not I would like to agree on the amount of $427 that was owed as of June [redacted].
Sincerely,
[redacted]

On October [redacted] 2013 the customer paid for a monthly parking spot in which he paid a total of $175, from October [redacted] until November [redacted]. Upon completion of the one monthly payment, the customer paid for another month (from November [redacted] until December [redacted]). After December [redacted], the customer stopped paying. According to our protocol, when a customer does not continue to pay their monthly membership and the car is still parked - the car gets a daily ticket and begins to pay $12 for every 24 hours.
From December [redacted] until February [redacted] the car had been parked in the parking lot (for a total of 86 days). Eventually a lean was placed on the car (because of the amount of time the car has been in the parking lot). For the 86 days the car had to pay $12 a day for a total of $1,032 plus $200 for the Marshall who placed the lean on the car - a total of $1,232. We did not hear from the customer, in accordance the car continue to be charged $12 a day.
From February [redacted] until April [redacted] the car had been in the parking lot for an additional 40 days. April [redacted] was when we heard from the customer. On April [redacted] the customer owed $200 for Marshall, plus, the car has been in the parking lot for a total of 126 days (December [redacted] until April [redacted]) at $12 a day - for a total $1712.
On April [redacted], the customer paid $810 in a check and $700 cash, for a total of $1,510, still owing $202 (as of April [redacted]). According to our protocol, if the customer does not pay the entire amount of what he owes and takes the car - he is charged $12 a day.
From April * until June ** (the day in which im responding) there is a total of 78 days - the customer is being charged $12 a day (12 times 78, totaliing $936) plus the $202 owing when they paid April [redacted], totaling $1138. Every 24 hours, the car is being charged $12
**If the customer does not pay the total, $1138 by July [redacted], a lean will be placed in the car once again.**

Review: On april [redacted] 2014 $1,570.00 was paid to A & M parking lot inc which consisted of 1 month of $175.00 a late payment of $12 a day for 90 days which was 1080, plus they charged a fee of $315 for a lien on the car. with that payment I was up to date and was going to be charged $175.00 a month and then $10 a day after that for late payment. I called on June [redacted] to make a payment and was told the amount due was $770.00. after 1 month and 21 days the amount due shouldve been $385, after having a discussion they later said they made an error it was $570. my brother and myself have been getting over charged for parking for this vehicle and my brother has been going to attempted to make payment and they will not receive it because they do not agree with the amount due. initially the payment made of 1570.00 was an over charged rate of $2 a day because their policy states $10 a day for everyday of late payment and we were charged $12 instead. I now want to make a payment and remove my car from the parking lot and they are not allowing me to do so. both father and son are denying ownership of the business. they are currently charging a daily fee of $10 as of april [redacted] 2014 because there was a lien on the vehicle previously although after the $1570 was paid we were told it would be $175 until may [redacted] 2014.currently they are charging $570 for 57 days.Desired Settlement: I would like my keys handed over to me without having to pay anything in addition to what I have already paid because I was already over charged $180.00 for the late payments and $315.00 for the lien which we were not entitled to pay.I would like to take my vehicle out of the lot as soon as possible
