estate liquidator is. The homes in which sales are held do not belong to me and I, nor any other liquidator, hires staff to police customers' shopping bags. This particular customer felt it was my responsibility because I didn't hire staff to watch over boxes and bags. She was very upset about not finding the jar among her purchases when she got home, and is putting the blame on me instead of herself (and her mother). For the record, I was not nasty. I held my ground stating that her purchases were her responsibility to guard, not mine. In the initial phone call I received from her I did tell her I would reimburse her $12. But I changed my mind later after talking to my cashier in which she confirmed the cookie jar was purchased by the customer who placed it in a box or bag and left the cashier's line.  [redacted]
