Review: We ordered ink products from this company and they sent the wrong ones. We called them and they sent out the right ones but then they charged us for both sets of ink. We were told by this company that we would be refunded as soon as we returned the wrong ink. The next day we sent the wrong ink back, according to their return procedures, but a credit was never issued. After giving them ample amount of time to credit our account, we denied the charges to our company credit provider. We were given credit initially but then Matter of Fax sent them disputing evidence and the charge was once again reversed. The problem was that the evidence they sent to credit provider was incomplete and did not show where we had all necessary documentation to validate the fact that we had followed all of their return protocol. I have since appealed the decision to reverse the charge, showing our credit provider that all steps were taken on our part to receive the proper credit due us. This company practices deceptive business policies and is in turn stealing from their clients.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

We would like reimbursement for the full charges that Matter of Fax has forged onto our bill. ($230.53) We would also like credit for the shipping amount. ($18.67)Not to mention the time and labor wasted on disputing this charge.

Response:

Hello,

We were given a return Tracking number on August 6th, 2014 for this return but per the tracking # it has not been delivered or received by us hence leaving the order not refunded as of yet because of it not being returned.

We ask that you please provide us with a trackable tracking number and we wil happily refund the full amount of $230.53.

Per normal business procedure we ask that a return tracking # be provided to us so we can monitor its return and issue credit in a tiomely manner but the tracking provided does not work.

USPS:

Feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] with this information or email it to me at

Looking forward to resolving this issue and hearing from you soon!

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

We have provided all tracking information in the original complaint along with the print out from the USPS showing the package was delivered.

Tracking #[redacted]

Business

Response:

It is unfortunate that is being rejected as the tracking # per USPS is not a Valid tracking # hence the reason nothing has been done further.

Please see the attachment.

If we can be provided with proof of return we will gladly assist and issue a refund in a refund check but we can not move further until there is valid tracking information for the return as stated in the RMA instructions provided .

Review: On Thursday, October 24th, 2013, I ordered an advertised Hewlett Packard 4200N Printer online from A Matter of Fax, Inc. for $70.70. I received my order confirmation and invoice from A Matter of Fax, Inc. in the amount of $76.73, which includes taxes and free shipping. After receiving an email correspondence from Kenny with A Matter of Fax, Inc. my order was cancelled without my knowledge.Desired Settlement: I was offered a refurbished unit in lieu of a used printer. They need to ship me a refurbished unit at the price I paid for the used item, even though they ran out of used printers.

Response:

To whom it may concern,

The customer placed an order for an item that is not in stock.

The customer also agreed to the terms and conditions which clearly states: “A Matter of Fax reserves the right to limit quantity or even cancel an order due to special pricing and/or availability."

The customer was fully reimbursed

I am rejecting this response because:

There is no truth about me agreeing to their terms & agreements! They never provided me with a check box, link to read or a popup of their terms & agreements.

This business advertised the product as being available, requested my credit card information, acknowledged my order, sent me an invoice, then 24 hours later sent me an email that clearly tries to up-sell me a product that was 300% higher in value. Their deceptive business practices and false advertisement managed to get my credit card information even though they knew the advertised item was not in-stock. I guess I will have to wait until my credit card is compromised as a result of their deceptive business practices before a remedy can be put in place or thousands of other unsuspecting shoppers are defrauded by this firm.

I ordered a bulb online for projection TV. WWW.AMATTEROFFAX.COM. Originally priced for $23. Plus $17 for shipping. Was called the next day told no longer available at that price but for $47 plus shipping I could have the exact same bulb shipped the next day. Checked online at order status. Original invoice for $23 bulb was canceled and the $47 is now being charged. Tried to contact company to cancel all invoices. No contact with company. It has to be illegal for them to advertise a price, have you complete the order only to have them cancel it and then charge your account for a higher price without your agreement. I had to cancel my bank card.
