I am billed for 3 separate leaks when only one area are repaired and never did the plumber mention there are other leaks. They only worked on one area and billing me for "3 separate leaks"
They bill me
$500 for labor
$125 per leak x 3 ($375)
$175 for backfill which I was not informed that would cost extra or else I would do it myself
$71.57 parts
Total $1121.57
I already paid $800 the day after the work was completed and refuse to pay for 2nd or 3rd leak per invoice.

When we were first called on this job we did the assessment and I contacted her to ask her if there was any limit for the repair work where we needed to call her before proceeding. She told me to just fix the problem. We told her that a single leak of this nature could be up to $1000. After opening the area to find the leak we discovered there were 3 separate leaks in this area. We made the repairs and I billed the lady a total of $1121.57 for "3" leaks. Then she tells me she would not pay the full invoice because we didn't tell her we charged to backfill the hole we dug out. I told her that the amount I quoted her included backfill and cleanup but that it is broken down on the invoice due to insurance companies required a breakdown and I didn't know if she would be turning this in to her insurance. She told me that if she knew we charged $175 to backfill she would have done that herself. (But she didn't tell me this and she did not fill the hole herself). I told her also that backfill and cleanup was not just throwing dirt in a hole. The dirt had to be packed around the pipes properly and water added through out the backfill process to ensure the pipes are properly supported to prevent new leaks from forming. We cleaned the area to where it was unnoticeable that a hole had ever been dug out. I also told her that time to bargain over pricing is to be done before work is started not after work has finished.
She then picked a number our of the air that she wanted to pay us for work already finished. That being $800.00. See the attached invoice copy that dig gout was $500, each leak was $125, and backfill cleanup was $175, but balance owed on this invoice was $321.57. So she didn't base the amount paid on anything else but the amount she wanted to pay. I have contacted her several times explaining the charges, and that after 15 days late fees begin and recently sent a notice that a lien will be filled against the property which is well within my legal right to do when work is not paid for. As of today with late fees her amount owed is $371.57. That amount will increase rapidly next week when a lien is filed against the property. A pre notice of intent has already been sent to her and a formal notice will be sent next week. Also within my legal right and will now be considered as action, is to file a criminal case of "THEFT OF SERVICES" with the Police Dept.
I expect this bogus complaint be removed from my profile and my excellent rating be unaffected by this person who is obviously trying to get work performed on her property without paying for it.
