A-OK Auto and Muffler

This response was received by Revdex.com via email from the business.My name is Lola B*** I am the Manager at A-OK Auto & Muffler, I am responding to a complaint made about our CoID ***, This customer did bring their vehicle in to our shop to get the work done, she also knew that it would
take some time to get it done, she came with no appointment which is fine but we did have other cars in the shop that were there before her car, She expressed to me how much she needed her car back asap, I told her we would get it done as soon as we could, she expressed how well she knows the owner and knows that some times it takes a long time to get her car back and I said we would do the best we canThen she went and talked to the mechanic he did tell her she needed a new power steering pump and a new rack and pinion, she stated she just had the power steering pump replaced, she just wanted the rack done, this was after the clamp did not solve the problem, so I assigned the mechanic and ordered the part, the part took a day to come in, the mechanic went about his other assignments, The car was pulled in and he started taking the old parts off, the husband came in the next day and started yelling at him because it was not done, he tried to explain it was a big job and there were other cars here first, they had to take the whole front end apart so it would take time, we had just got the part that morning, the mechanic went and finished up the car he was doing, the next few days he called in sick, she came and talked to the owner, so we assigned another mechanic to take the front end apart, he does not usually do those kinds of big jobs so it took him longer, so when the part was finally out we realized we had the wrong part, so I call and come to find out the car has style engines the parts place sent the wrong one even though we gave them the vin #They could not get the right one until the following week, so I called everywhere to get one for the next day which was satSaturday was a big weekend with a lot of car shows and stuff so the owner decided to close, they work mostly all weekends so he wanted everyone to have a break and have fun, The original mechanic stopped by and said he would try to come in and finish her car if he felt better, so on sat someone went and picked up the part for me the owner left me the keys to the shop because he went away for the weekend, the mechanic was still to sick so did not come in, I had weekend off but I came to the shop to get someone their car and they were sitting in the parking lot I tried to explain to them the situation but her daughter started swearing at me from the drivers side of the car, I said I have the keys and the part is at the house, still she was swearing and yelling, My customer that was picking up his car was a preacher by the way, so I asked them to leave and went inside, I was done talking to them at that pointOn Sunday they came to the house to get the part and put it in the car, so Monday comes, the customer comes in and apologizes for the actions of her daughter, who wrote the letter, and her husband, I sympathized with her about her car and apologized but life stuff happens, people get sick, we did the best we could, and it was done but then come to find out they did need the power steering pump like we said, so we took it out for her so she could go and warranty it since she just had someone put it in, and we did not charge her for taking it back out & putting the new one inWe try our hardest to get the jobs in and out in a timely manner, we try to keep our prices cheap so we are in demand.Sent from Mail for Windows
