A. Parker Contracting

Review: Hired A. Parker Contracting to remodel a full bath and a half bath at my father's house. He gave me one price and has since tripled the cost with out telling me. The house is getting ready to be sold as my father dies 14 months ago. I live 200 miles away and when I come to town I stay at my dad's house. He took over 12 weeks to do the work which was never completed and the work quality is terrible. Out of plum and is not level. He tore both bathrooms up so I was unable to come down and stay at my dad's due to no bathroom. While there may have been more to the demolition than expected they are tiny bathroom (3x5, and 5X8). According to my painting contractor would not show up or would leave early or very late. My dad's house is a mess, broken tile all over his floor, wet saw without waterproofing destroyed the finish on the hard wood floor. He has soda cans all over the floor on the 2nd floor. When I have talked with Mr. Parker after I wanted to discuss the mess he has created and the very poor workmanship, he sounds possibly under the influence, garbled talk, not making sense. and insists I owe him more money. Many of the tile are broken, or chipped. floor is unlevel too. I am now having to demo the bathroom again with a different contractor. his slow moving pace has cost me months delay and thousands of dollars. I asked for him to refund part of money which he refuses to do and asks to return to the job to complete. He either does not have the skill set to do a tile job or there is something else going on preventing him from producing quality work. He broke one of the toilets removing it and claimed it was already broken. It was a brand new toilet. If if had been broken before he worked in the bathroom the house would have been flooded ( the entire bottom of the tank broken out) I am requesting a full refund or I will file in small claims court and ask for the total sum plus damages this delay has costDesired Settlement: Entire amount of money returned $6500.00
