Ms. [redacted] did purchase a 2003 Dodge Durango from the Oshkosh Car Credit Center on October 23, 2013 not in September as she claims. She did...
return for a service issue on October 29, 2013 with the complaint of a [redacted] core leak, an odor issue , and thinking the vehicle needed an alignment. Upon inspection and test drive for her concerns we found a power steering hose with a small leak and we made the repair at no charge to Ms. [redacted]. We found the alignment to be ok and could not find an odor issue.
January 21, 2014 Ms. [redacted] brought the vehicle in with her electrical concerns. We sublet the repair to a franchise Dodge dealer where an issue with a wiring harness was found and repaired at no charge to Ms. [redacted].
April 28, 2014 Ms. [redacted] brought the vehicle in again with electrical concerns. We sublet the repair to the Dodge dealer again. The Dodge dealer ran every test they could and could not recreate any of the issues Ms. [redacted] claimed to be having. This diagnostic work was also done at no charge to Ms. [redacted]
Ms. [redacted] in conversations with staff members indicated the affordability of this vehicle was also an issue due to the weak gas mileage which is normal for a V8 Durango. Ms. [redacted] has fallen behind on her payments and has surrendered the vehicle as of 08/21/2014.
We would be happy to work with Ms. [redacted] on any repair issues on the Durango as we have done thus far if she wants to redeem the vehicle and continue repayment under the contract she signed.
Sincerely,
