Overpriced short lived leds
I have installed over a dozen recessed lights from aspect at a cost of about $35 a piece. Not a bad deal if it’s a quality product.That was about 5 years ago and I’ve replaced all of them at least once, some of them twice, but now they are $66 a piece. Wrap your mind around that replacement cost, just to maintain lighting around the house. Horrible investment, horrible product…

Overpriced product company doesn’t stand behind
I bought (6) 2.25” recessed ceiling lights and drivers. I thought the pricing was excessive as it was just under $400 for 6 lights but I assumed they were premium products and worth the money bc they were “custom”. I was wrong. I am a licensed electrician and know a scam when I see one. The install in the soffit was extremely hard to access but I figured the lights would last 5-10 years so I wouldn’t need to access it for a while. The first light burned out one year after install. I paid to replace that one. Then two more burned out 6 months later and I sent them back to Aspect so they could “test” the lights. They determined the lights burned out due to a “power surge” and told me I was SOL. Funny how the other 4 lights were unaffected and multiple other led lights on the circuit were unaffected by this mysterious power surge. I have since had a 3rd light burn out (6 months ago). So in 2.5 years I’ve had 4 of the 7 lights burn out, all on different time frames, and all from power surges? For the premium price I paid I am astounded that a company could be so terrible at backing their products. I’m extremely mad that I have access the soffit so soon to uninstall their lights bc I can’t stand to support such a company. I’m finishing my basement and am about to order 25-30 recess lights. Guess which company I won’t EVER be using again? Read these reviews and you’ll notice Aspect never warranties anything! Save your money

I also want to note that Aspect deleted my negative review from their website. Hence my "sham" comment in my review. They obviously pay employees to deflect all negative feedback from customers (seems like there is a lot of it).

I installed 2 of these as soffit lighting. Things were going ok until it wasn't. They burned out right around 1 year. Both of them. For 60 dollars a light, super ridiculous. I would not recommend this product, appears as though I am not alone.

I have been using Aspect Led products for over 5 years now. I find them to be a reliable & most professional company. They have quality products excellent customer care & free shipping on orders over $299.00. Have never had an issue with any of there products and my customers have always been pleased. I would highly recommend them to anyone shopping for LED products

Poor product from a poor company. My LED accent light lasted through 10 uses. Then I had make multiple calls, pay return shipping costs and wait over 30 days to get a replacement. Buy a good light from a company that is confident enough in their product to at least pay for shipping a defective product back to them

I have 10 in ground lights from Aspect LED lighting. I had to replace 2 within 6 months due to failure. I had 3 more fail and ordered 3 more. However, before I installed them, I noticed that 2 others were failing so I decided to send back the 3 I had ordered and use another product. I was told that I was outside of the return window even though the box was never opened. Also, their excuse for a 50% failure rate is improper installation. Never mind that these were installed by a lisenced electrician.
They had considered making an exception and allowing me to return the items, but then I was told it is a "special order". They have 2 options for the length of wire to order so either option will be a "special order" to them. Therefore there is no way you can ever return the lights. Any company that cover its bases like this must have a lot of problems with returns. No legitimate, quality company will play these types of games.

We stand by our team's findings that the customer's product was improperly installed, but we definitely don't want to leave you unsatisfied with your experience. So, as a one-time courtesy, we've gone ahead and sent the customer an RMA to send back these 2 unopened fixtures even though they are outside the return period.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Although I do not agree with their customer service.

I have purchased several thousands of dollars worth of LED strip light and light fixtures for my office from Aspect LED and when the LED light strip and one of the Light fixture failed out of the blue a few months post installation, my Commercial Electrical Company that did the install troubleshooted the system and concluded that it was a fixture failure. Aspect LED send an email claiming water in the LED strip light and improperly installed fixture when I have paid for shipping to return the items for a refund based on their refund and return policy. The fixtures that failed were also troubleshooted with Aspect LED technicians over the phone and found to be defective by the technician that told us to just open a claim and return the items. It is a shame that Aspect LED can be so dishonest and not backing up their product as per their warranty policy. It looks like I am not the only victim of this dishonest company.

I am in the middle of a very extensive outdoor remodel, which will require over $10,000 worth of LED lighting. I ordered two different outdoor LED lights in December 2018 to determine how they would look before I purchased such a large order.

The first light was of excellent quality and beautiful in the site. However, I cannot comment on the second light since, now mid February, I have yet to receive the light despite many phone calls. After one phone call, I was told they would email me the next day with an update...no email. On my latest phone call, an email had been purportedly sent the day before... no email.

Given the lack of reliable communication and customer service, I will plan to buy the cheaper LED lights on Amazon.

We're sorry that you've had trouble getting information. It looks like we replied to both of your inquiries via e-mail, so I wonder if messages from us might be getting lost in your inbox or maybe are getting accidentally marked as spam.
The second light that you purchased was shipped yesterday (the day before you posted this) and we sent an e-mail confirmation of shipment with the tracking # for that one.
I should mention that the first light that you ordered from us was a stock product that ships right away. The second light that you ordered was an item that we needed to build for you, so we would expect a build time there.
We'd love if you'd give us another chance to earn your business, so I sent you a gift card that you can use on a future purchase.

I did a whole house with these lights back 4 years ago and thus far only one driver has gone bad. I contacted them, paid for a new one and done deal. I like their fixtures and quality is not bad.

Terrible, non-responsive customer service for a product which was misrepresented.

They will not refund your shipping cost to return defective products. Nor refund the shipping cost to replace the defective products!

Customer service is nearly non-existent, they don't stand behind their products. We've been trying to get more than half the lights we've purchased repaired well before 2016 with no luck, ended up purchasing an additional light for over $600 because the original failed and was told it could not be repaired or replaced (less than one year old). We are over $8,500.00 in the hole on an exterior/landscape lighting system that doesn't work, with no recourse. AspectLED doesn't seem to be interested in helping us when I send an email and phone calls are never returned. I suggest saving your money and finding a reputable company that will stand behind their product even if it costs a little extra for a competitors light fixture.

Negative, I purchased 6 3w in ground stainless steel pathway lights. They were installed and after 2 weeks one light started to dim. I was told to return the light and pay for shipping back to aspect Led. So I did, after about a week I had not heard from them and had to contact them to see what the issue was. They did send a new one. After about another week another light started to dim, I was told to send back and pay for shipping so I did, again I had to contact them to see what the issue was. At this point I emailed and asked about a Refund for the shipping which was 25.00. I was told the engineer determined that it was installation error and shipping will not be refunded. It is funny reading other reviews because another customer got the same answer, the wire connections were getting wet and caused the problem, so installation error, no proper drainage. All 6 lights were installed at the same location so why are the other 4 working? The wire nuts used were silicone wire nuts to protect from water. This is a path light in the ground it will get wet but wires getting wet should not affect the LED light. They did send another light. In closing I hope the other 4 continue to work and would suggest more help with customer service, and with every other company if I had a problem, would pay for shipping on a return and not to mention the bill to install and remove and install again. I will not be using aspect Led again.....thank you

The items we ordered, per Aspect's webpage, were "In Stock (Usually ships same or next business day)" and the term "Special Order" does not appear on our invoice. nor their webpage for the lights ( https://www.aspectled.com/collections/led-recessed-ceiling-lights/products/3-led... )

Aspect customer service refused a refund request and refused to send us a "Return Merchandise Authorization [RMA]" number.

Product does not meet electrical code and is unusable.

According to our returns policy, a special order item is any item that is built for you as is the case with non-standard trim colors (white, dark bronze, brass, etc.). The “Built for you” text appears automatically when an alternate trim color is selected, as well as a projected lead time. Additionally, the build time is referenced again in your cart as you are checking out. That being said, we strongly believe in all of our customers having a positive encounter with aspectLED so we would like to once again extend the offer to allow the return of your painted trim fixtures for store credit less a 15% restocking fee or credit your original payment method less a 30% scrap fee. I am rejecting this response because: We returned the goods to Aspect two weeks ago (tracking info here: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=*** ), and submitted a dispute with our credit card company on the grounds that the goods are not allowable by our electrical code. We'd be happy to pay the 15% re-stock fee but expect a full return on our purchase. We will not accept store credit.

The customer was issued a full refund by his credit card issuer, so we now consider the matter to be closed.

This is a review of the Aspect LED low profile lighting fictures...About a year and a half ago I undertook a gut renovation on my condo decided to use these low-profile fixtures throughout the apartment; 25 units in total on 6 different switches. I did my research and both I and the electrical contractor who did the installation consulted with aspect LED to ensure we purchased the correct dimmers, etc. For a little over a year the lights worked great, lights dimmed nicely, although at times one fixture might go out on the lowest setting; no big deal. Unfortunately as time progresses the fixtures have begun to flicker when dimmed and it is getting worse. Not the end of the world, but we really can no longer dim the lights. If I had to do it again, I would probably look for another option. They do look great though.?

I recently posted a negative review because the company would not allow us to return/exchange a light we ordered in the wrong size. After posting the complaint, the company contacted us and agreed to replace the light at no extra charge.
