I have contacted the customer about the issue she brought up blaming our employee for scratching her glassI went to take a look at the scratches and she has or windows with swirly scratches in the center of her windows in one room, and on window in another roomThe scratches are not visible
without proper light, usually when the sun shines on them at just the right angleI explained to her that a lot of old scratches become easier to see after a cleaningAfter I left her home I spoke with a few people including our guy who cleaned her windows to get opinionsThe scratches appear to have been caused by someone who used an aggressive pad of some sortWe do not use any aggressive tools in our cleaning process, as most will scratch glassI later explained this to the customer and she got extremely upset with me threatening to take legal action, run our name through the mud, and then ended the call abruptlyI called back and spoke with her husband who also had the same demandsPlease note-One of the windows is original to the home (1970's) and has scratches all over, as admitted by the homeownerThe others, the customer claimed to be brand new windows but later admitted to them being about months oldWhen speaking with her husband he admitted the windows were about a year and a half oldMany things can happen in a year and a halfThey had remodeled the home in this time frame from what I understand, and had many people working on and/or around the windowsI do refuse to take responsibility for these scratches, they are not in any sort of pattern of a professional window cleaner, and look to be caused by some sort of tool we do not carryThe customer expected us to immediately replace her panes because she found these "new" scratchesIf anyone who works for us causes any damage to anything, we would not hesitate to fix or replace but this wasn't caused by usI do believe they were there prior to us cleaning their windows
