Let me start off by saying there will be absolutely NO refund of any kind nor any further work on these premises from my company of any kind!! We met the agreed time for the work done for the amount of money and materials to get to the point that the job was walked with my lead (a
representative of my company) and the home ownerAt which time tho home owner walked the job and accepted the work and paid the final amount owed by writing a check to my lead and the homeowner knew I was on my way to leaving the state for the Thanksgiving holiday so I was not available to walk the job and he was fine with that.
In the beginning I explained to the homeowner and his wife that I/we as a company had never done a job like this before so we agreed on a price of for man hours and materials of which the per man hour price is below my hourly rate for drywall work due to the fact that we as a company had never done a smooth wall conversion over knock downAnd once we got to the hours we would see if more work was needed and we would either come up with an amount for a specific amount of hours or do time and materials from that point
The home owner was not to be staying in the home while the work was going on since we had to bubble the entire work area to do such a job but they stayed and in the beginning they cut the heat off and slowed the dry time of the product even with the fans we put in the home to try and speed up the drying process this delayed or work due to the slow dry time and messed up our scheduleIt also caused us to have to re-mask(plastic off) areas that the homeowner messed up...thus adding more work and time to our job, again messing up our schedule
When he contacted me on the 27th of December to inform me that there was some areas of concern I explained to him we had met our previously agreed work for the hours and amount so I can come out to check and address the issues as needed but there would be a charge as we spoke abut before of anything over the man hoursThen he began to make threats of placing bad reviews in talking bad about my company and threats of small claimsJust because I am in business does not mean I have to tolerate threats and or disrespectful customers and I WONT!!! Defamation is punishable by law and I also have legal means to handle such actions.
Now I need to address the issue of the elephant in the room...the Revdex.com......why is it that the only time people place reviews on here is when they are upset, seems like a platform for complainers and the Revdex.com never promotes though their advertising for people to not only use the Revdex.com for a resource to check companies credibility out but also promoting people to go there to place positive feed back as well?? I have been a Revdex.com member for many many years and have done 1000s ans 1000s of jobs all over the Puget Sound but you don't see that reflected in my reviews since it not promoted to do so and people only think of the Revdex.com as a resource for complainingI am beginning to wonder what the value of the Revdex.com is for my company in the future and would hope that they would try and promote people to use the Revdex.com as a resource of positive feedback and not only to complain with some new advertising campaign explaining thisSeems the only time I am contacted by the Revdex.com is over a complaint, when they want me to spend more money on advertising, when dues are are due...etcI want to see more from the Revdex.com than a way for bad customers to make trouble for companies as retaliation for not being able to bully businesses alone

First off, I did not sign any kind of contract or written estimate.  That is on me.  I understand my mistake here.  Everything was done by word of mouth and an honest agreement.  That being said:
At no time was I told that we could not live in the house during the work.  He stated that we would be restricted to one room which was ok.  We sliced one hole to enter our master bedroom (that was ok'd by the foreman he had on the job).  That was the only modification made to any of the masking done by his workers.  It is stated that I rushed him during the job.  I simply asked him to stick to the timeline that he stated he would meet.  On two separate occasions, the workers were not in place like he stated they would be (19Nov2016 and 22Nov2016), and he had to be contacted to see if they were in fact coming to work.  After the work was completed I requested an invoice that took almost 3 weeks to get.  I was patient and finally received a cookie cutter invoice that listed a single line item.  It was not broken down by materials used or the hours worked each day (which I understand is the norm in this kind of situation),  I paid 50% up front and 50% on completion.  But the quality of work is not there.  It is not a "more time is needed" flaw in the work.  It is in my opinion subpar work.  If more time was needed, it would be isolated to certain places, but the same problem are located uniformly throughout the project.  After contacting him about these issues, he became very aggressive and vulgar after I stated I would be contacting the Revdex.com.  I have screenshots of said actions.  I understand no money will be returned, and I do not wish for him to rectify the work.  I just want my complaint filed.Sincerely,[redacted]
