In presenting their services to me [redacted] informed me that since I had received a 1099C from Bank of [redacted] could not keep it on my credit reportI was told since a received a 1099-c from [redacted] of [redacted] it should not be on my credit report since it was no longer a debt but now an income. This was the main reason I signed up for their services. I even provided proof of by bringing in the IRS letter stating the now taxable income. When questioned about it [redacted] sends me an email and tells me I should now try to settle. Over nine months and no communications of any sorts. I have emailed and called and finally cancelled my services as of Dec. to no avail I have seen the [redacted] charge in disputed or worked on.Desired Settlementget the [redacted] of [redacted] line off all three credit reports as told to me upon sign up.Business Response /[redacted]/Our agreement for credit services clearly states that we can not and do not guarantee that any item will be removed from the client's credit report. [redacted] engaged us to remove inaccurate, untimely, and inaccurate information from her credit report - again outlined clearly in our service agreement. During the time our company worked with [redacted] we removed 7 out of 10 of the negative items on her Equifax report, 16 out of 21 negative items on her Experian report and 9 out of 12 items on her Trans Union report. The items removed included 18 collections and 1 public record. [redacted] has access to a customer portal that she may access her progress 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. We also send update emails with each round of work that is completed. [redacted]'s complaint indicates that we did not ever communicate which she then contradicted by saying I recommended that she settle. [redacted] of [redacted] verified the debt with [redacted]. We do not have the ability to determine if the 1099 she provides was fraudulently created by the client. We can only work within the confines of the law and provide the best service possible to our clients with that work. We removed over 70% of the negative items on [redacted]'s credit reports. [redacted] did not contact us to discuss her disappointment with the [redacted] of [redacted] item remaining on her credit report. She faxed a request asking what to do because she needed it resolved, and I responded that the best course of action if timing was critical was to contact [redacted] of [redacted] to settle the item. We also offered to initiate the contact for her. If we had continued with that course of action, and the 1099 was legitimate, the issue would have most probably been resolved. However, we did not receive any response from the client on proceeding forward with that course of action. We wish her the best of luck and are extremely pleased with the improvement of her credit reports.
