On July 16, 2020 at approximately 5pm the technician by the name of Tavon White for A plus Heating Cooling & Remodeling, LLC came to my home to repair my compressor for my AC unit. I was advised of the fee for installation but got the run around about any additional cost prior to the service. My reasoning for using this business is because they originally installed the unit prior to me purchasing my home. My compressor was covered by a warranty so I was responsible for the labor cost. The technician allegedly repaired the unit and advised me I would need to save up for a new unit due to my unit being struck by lightening. I asked the technician how long it would be before I would need a new unit and he advised it would be a while. The technician advised my thermostat was no longer working and replaced it. When he placed the new thermostat the temperature read at approximately 90 degrees. I asked the technician was that accurate and he replied it was in his vehicle therefore that's the reason for it to read hot. He stated it and my home will cool down in a few hours. My unit seemed to be working but less than 24 hours my house was back hot and not cooling down. I contacted the technician the next day. I was unable to get in contact with him so I left a voice mail message. I received no callback. I reached out again on Saturday, July 18th at approximately 1 pm. I received no answer. I left a voicemail once again. The technician replied via text message that he was with a client and he will call me back shortly. He made no attempt to reach out to me. Several hours later, my significant other reached out to the technician and he answered and responded that he advised me unless I get a new system there is nothing he can do. He advised my significant other he would not come out to check out the unit. It is an absurd notion for the fact I paid $500 dollars for a service that was incomplete. Upon further research, I found it is called A Plus Maintenance & Remodeling LLC. I do not know which name is legit.
Refund I was advised via text from the owner he would return my call. It has been eleven days and I have yet to receive a return phone from this owner/technician. I want a full refund for false advertisement and deceitful tactics. Also, this is a very unprofessional business.
