6. Antique pitcher broken

7. Antique coffee pot broken

8. Treadmill broken at the joints.

9. Missing a box #[redacted] in our hand writing

10. Missing a large blue Plastic Bin with #[redacted] in our hand writing on masking tape.

11. Missing a grey plastic bin with # [redacted] in our hand writing on masking tape.

On the day of pickup I was informed that if items do not have a green sticker on them I will not receive my property. The man that was in charge of placing the stickers on the items missed many boxes and Plastic bin. I mentioned it to him and he gave me an attitude saying “what people can’t make a mistake.” Now, due to the fact stickers were not placed on all of my property, items are missing. Some of the men were not very careful and had little respect for my property; they were rough in handling the property. When we asked about insurance, the foreman convinced us that it was a waste of money and not needed.

The inventory sheet that the men filled out is also inaccurate. According to their inventory sheet there was 23 plastic bins that was picked up. However there were actually 27 bins that were picked up, and of those, 2 are still missing. The reason I know this information is because we did our own inventory sheet.

On the day of delivery, the truck was stuffed and boxes were crammed on top of each other causing boxes to collapse the ones below them. The men had to remove other people’s property in order to get the majority of our items out. They had to remove bags and a mattress to get to my property. This is the other reason that we are thinking the missing items are with the other deliveries that were on either side of our delivery. We had items broken that had been wrapped in bubble wrap and newspaper and in the middle of the Plastic bin and or boxes. As our items were being removed from the truck the men were standing on Plastic bin and boxes to get the property out. They were not only standing on our property they were standing on other people’s property as well. The men were not gentle removing the covers off of the furniture that was damaged. While one of the men was removing the covers from the furniture the other was closing the truck. We were watching the furniture checking for damage. Next thing we know is we were being handed the inventory sheets to sign. We never had a chance to check to make sure everything was delivered. The delivery men intimidated us into signing the sheet, pushing to move on. Once the delivery was completed and we checked the property we noticed there is damage to many items. We contacted them and they sent a claim form to me. We sent the claim form and pictures to them via FedX on March **. The paper work says that the claim can take anywhere from thirty days to ninety days to process we are now entering the fourth month and have not had any responses to any of my emails and phone calls during this time.

Even though we did not use their insurance, one would hope that there property is handled with care and with respect.Desired Settlement: With the claim form, we are supposed to receive money back for the damages and the lost goods. We want this with an apology for what has been done and for ignoring our contacts.

Review: [redacted] with A Plus Moving & Storage contract states insurance coverage at 0.60 cent per pound. My furniture and other belongings were packed by A Plus Moving & Storage personnel (Mr. [redacted]). Upon delivery of my furniture, my bedroom furniture was damaged (side bed rail, two lamp shades, long dresser top scratched and broken at corners, side tables had corners broken off), one portable air conditioner wheels were broken off, leather ottoman had wheels broken off. All damaged items were documented by delivery person as well as told to [redacted] on delivery date: 02/**/2013. I spoke with [redacted], via cell phone about my complaints; while in the presence of the delivery staff; she in turn said she would mail me Insurance Claim forms. I filled aforementioned forms out and faxed and mailed her said documents. Several weeks went by without hearing from her. She finally returned phone call stating she never received Insurance form. I then faxed and mailed second copy; in which she finally received. Several more weeks went by and during the week of June *th, 2013, [redacted] called stating she was out of the country and no longer owned the business. She never stated the date in which she sold the business or to whom she sold the business to. She also refused to compensate me for the damages and said there was nothing she could do. I asked if she could give me the name of her insurance company; but she said she didn't know the name of her insurance company and for me to contact the new owners of the company. This made no sense to me and she became irate and said I would not be compensated for my damages and then she hung up the phone. Since that time, I have tried contacting her several times to no avail. I am seeking compensation for damages to my furniture, lamp shades, portable air conditioning, and leather ottoman. I hope your company can help render my problem. I am faxing copies of the contract along with a copy of initial Insurance claim form. I have honored all storage fees and moving fees. I paid monthly storage fees via check ($550.00), $1625.00 in cash on packing date (4/**/12) and $1625.00 in cash on delivery date (2/**/13.Desired Settlement: I want A Plus Moving and Storage to compensate me for the damages per the contractual agreement of .06cents per lb.
