We hired Joey C from A plus painting and renovations due to a problem with our skylights. He was to do roof work, uninstall 2 skylights, repair defects in ceiling, repair drywall on ceilings, texturize ceiling to match existing texture and paint both ceilings. He completed the roof work. He did not finish the ceiling repairs, texture or paint. We paid him a total of $10,050 in several increments. We did not pay the final $200. We have not seen him since March. He is no longer returning our calls or responding. We had to find another contractor and now have to pay more than $1200 for him to finish what Joey did not.
We completed all contracted work, we were paid to install a new roof, remove skylights, close them up and texture the areas, painting was never written in contract, we offered to do it if we had extra time for a price of $200. We surly will not be refunding a customer for $1200. 00 to pay another contractor to do, when originally we only charged $500 for that work. The customer seems to be trying to get over on the business because if they felt they were wronged in contract they would have taken us to court, we did a retaining wall job about a month after the roof and skylight work and they were happy with everything , we were too scheduled to do the favored work which we were not paid for. There for we certainly will not refund any amount of money , we did additional repair work since we couldn’t do touch ups on a gloss finish ceiling because only flat paint can be touched up . If the customer is requesting money for refund then I requesting additional money for work done for free like repairing the hallway in the entrance way amongst other repairs done on the kitchen ceiling outside of contract. Thank you
