It was at this point that I realized they used rebuilt parts to fix the car, which will explain the unwillingness to honor that commitmentHe took advantage of the fact that I honestly informed him that the car was the only vehicle my wife has to go to workWhatever happened to giving a customer their car back if they cannot afford the cost of repair? Additionally, why did it take days to finally fix the car, costing my wife more money for car rentals? Is this standard for this type of repair, or is it part of trying to squeeze me for money because of my desperation? The manager explained that she could bring it in any time and the warranty would cover all parts and labor  for the transmission. Because of the recent weather related problems and the amount of vehicles that...

were towed it that day the wait time could be quite long. Wanting to get her issue corrected as quick as possible the manager saw that the [redacted] location had room to get the vehicle in right away and correct Ms. [redacted] problem. it is about 15 minutes away. He asked her if that would be a better option and Ms. [redacted] agreed and wrote down the shop number, but never called the [redacted] shop or took the vehicle there. A Plus Transmission wants the leak corrected as soon as possible so it doesn't cause more problems. Ms. [redacted] is welcome to bring her car to either location and we will try to make the repair as convenient as possible so she doesn't have to be with out the vehicle any longer then necessary.The transmission repairs along with the Transmission cooler that was also installed are covered under a full parts and labor warranty, she simply needs to get the vehicle to the shop to perform any needed repairs.Thank You,David [redacted]General ManagerA Plus Transmission-[redacted]

A Plus Transmission has done everything in our power to help out [redacted] and can no longer go out of our way for her. The Loaner car she borrowed was returned wrecked and the charges will be added to her bill. Attached is one of the signed work orders giving authorization to repair. and damaged parts list was compiled and a price for a premium transmission repair was given with a full 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty. Mr. [redacted] declined this service and was given a price for using new aftermarket parts instead of OEM new parts to repair the transmission, which he also declined. We did every thing to get the price to a point where Mr. [redacted] could afford the repair witch included re manufactured parts instead of new replacement parts. This is generally only reserved for wholesale car lot or auction  vehicles and only includes a 6month or 6,000mile warranty on all parts and labor for the transmission itself. Mr. [redacted] was fully aware of the warranty as that was the only way to get close to his price point and approved repairs and warranty with signature.  The bad shifter cable is an issue that showed up now that the transmission is in correct working condition, this is related to age and wear and not part of the transmission repair. We have replaced the cable at no charge to the customer as we try to do everything possible to satisfy our customers concerns.Thank You,David D[redacted]General ManagerA Plus Transmission-[redacted]

They would call me and let me know what was wrong with the car and how much it would cost. That not what happen they fixed the car and did not tell me nothing. They just fixed it that was not the agreement. If they would have done what was agreed on we would not have no problems. I know my budget I know what I can spend, now I had to take some of my bill money to pay for something I did not give my approval on. All they did was lie to me to make there Holiday Money. All of this confusion is not may fault it is there fault it is not nice to be greedy do what you said you would do.

I went to there office in [redacted] 4 times and spoke to the manager Robert. He told me that he would call to let me know when to bring the car in so he can fix the problem, as of today 06/21/2015 I never received a call from him yet still waiting for that call. All of these lies, it is one lie after the other. People will lie just to cover themselves. That is a shame the was companies take advantage of people.[redacted]

I took my car in for a second opinion and when doing so [redacted]) told me that it would cost $495.00 to check the car. He also stated that since there was no noise or tow involved, that it definitely would not be more than $700.00 to repair the car AND the $495.oo initial inspection charge would go toward the total repair amount. He lied, for he phoned me back a day or so later stating that the repair would cost somewhere near $2000.00 to repair the transmission. He also tried to sale another add-on for the brakes at another $300.00. Its not only unethical. Its also against Unfair Trade Practice. I asked for my car to be reassembled and returned and they refused and insisted that I allow them to fix the car because they wanted me to get a little closer to my goal of repairing the car, when in effect my actual intention was to sell the car. They kept my car for over three months, refused to give any written estimate or any documentation of any sort qualifying the estimate or the initial inspection charges. To date, I have been without my car for over 8 months. [redacted] is blaming it on the other [redacted], whom he claims was the one who refused to return my car, but he is the one that sold me the deal and then disappeared to another location, where I went and he admitted in front of a witness that he told [redacted] to return my car. I wrote them a 7 day demand letter and they then threatened me with storage fees to pick it up. I have no proof of anything, including the fact that they even looked at my car. And to top it all off, I am a person with disabilities in my lower extremities. I can't begin to tell you of the hardship this put me in as a single mother and a returning student, trying to go to ** and complete my degree so we could get off social services and out of poverty. I was unable to walk, navigate the bus routes or complete my 450 hour internship assignment. Due to this, ** has reversed my $4500.00 scholarship stipend because I was unable to complete my internship at the [redacted] because of no transportation; not to mention me and my daughter having to walk in the dark and the rain, to get to school. And the real Coup de grace is I have met two other African-American middle-aged women who tell me that they had to get the police to get their cars back from the very same location. With that said, "We have a problem Houston". Thank you
