The contractor bid a job to adjust our windows and wrap them as well. The windows were adjusted, the wrap was put on after he put the first wrap on he used nails we asked him not to put nails on the top of the wrap above the windows. He told my husband he had no money to feed his family and asked for the money up front. My husband paid him, and my husband had also told him not to put nails on the wrap as my wife does not want that on their and she told you not to. He did it anyway. This was in April , in the middle of the summer we have asked him to come back and fix the windows that he had nailed and to caulk around the wrap so it would stay in. He has called and has come up with excuses each time he is to come the last time (3rd time) was he had his birthday could he come on the weekend. He told us he had the caulk then he didn't have the caulk, he told us he would call us on one night to give us a date when he would be here but prior he did not want to caulk in the cold or rain then 2 months later it was ok to caulk in the rain and cold. We finally asked him when he could come and he never did answer us he said well maybe Saturday but then maybe sunday or maybe Monday. We have come to the conclusion he was not coming back and that is why he nailed our window trim even when my husband told him that his wife did not want it nailed. His comment when I asked him why he did this and he told me that my husband was also the co-owner on our house. I am Rich and I did tell him not to put the nails in he said that was the only way he could hold the trim in, he told me this but he had no intention of coming back to our home. We have asked him for $400 back as we have to have this fixed as another contractor has come to our home and he said it would be this much to fix. He is refusing to pay us back this money. He said he would pay us $300. We paid $2,000.00. The job is half done and now has to be fixed. Plus he wrapped over a door that has rotten wood on and he did not let us know.
