Tell us why here In response to the complaint # [redacted] from [redacted] , regarding her daughter, I would like to clarify the inaccuracy of her statementDue to the nature of our professional relationship with the [redacted] family, and HIPPA laws, unfortunately we are greatly restricted by the details we can discussI will say that her account of details is not what is documented in our recordsThere has been no consistency of visits in our office to monitor treatment that was providedOnly when there was a problem, would any appointments be madeThe risks and benefits of the treatment provided, and chosen by Ms [redacted] for her daughter, were fully explained prior to the onset of such treatmentNo warranty on such treatment was either implied or given due to the temporary nature of one type treatmentI specifically stated to Ms [redacted] at the time of treatment on her daughter, that there was no warranty on this type of treatment due to its temporary natureIt was an interim cosmetic procedure not designed for function such as biting and chewingIn addition, there was no warranty given by the lab that fabricated the temporary prosthesisI did state that the temporary prosthesis was repairable in the event that it was damaged but not at no charge to herAny warranty on the other treatment was subject to regular chevisits which were not complied withIn addition, it was stated by her daughter that she “bit into a fork” which absolutely could have been the cause of the situation In response to my Office Manger being “rude” to herThe implication was that Ms [redacted] was seeking ongoing “free dentistry” and unwilling to pay for non-warrantied workMy Office Manager was trying to explain that we could no longer provide free servicesMs [redacted] was argumentative regarding the situation requiring a firm tone to clarify that any future treatment would require a feeA letter explaining our position was presented to Ms [redacted] at the next visit, which she refused to sign and abruptly left our office We never refused to treat her daughter at any point, we simply made it clear that we would no longer provide any services for free and what the expectations and responsibility on her part would beMs [redacted] herself, nor any other family members, have shown any loyalty to me and my practice by considering themselves patients of consistent record in a number of years, but one of convenienceIn the past, it was made clear that for routine visits, whoever had the cheapest “deal” in town or was offering a coupon was the dentist of choice for Ms [redacted] and her family even asking if we accepted competitor couponsAs a professional healthcare provider, we do not offer or accept coupons I regret that Ms [redacted] felt compelled to attempt to taint my reputation and good standing in our communityThe many positive reviews, out of stars, on our website from both new patients as well as long time existing patients speaks volumes of my character and business practices Please feel free to contact my office if there are any other questions or concerns regarding this complaint/disputeI may add, that in all my years of practice and as a member of the Revdex.com, we have never had a complaint lodged against usI thank you in advance for your help in the resolution of this matter Sincerely, Thomas [redacted] , DDS
