Revdex.com spoke to Samantha at business and the following was relayed: As the work has already been done and there is nothing to repair, we would need copies of the receipts from a professional shop for the work done to determine what is wear and tear and expected to consider reimbursement

BBB spoke to Samantha and the following was relayed: None of the vehicles are in her name. On 4/6/16, I believe it is her boyfriend, purchased two 2014 ***. They were happy with one and the 2nd one had an issue that we fixed once and offered to look at and repair a 2nd time. They instead chose to... buy a 2010 [redacted] in July of 2016. In April of this year the customer commented on our [redacted] page. That was the first we had heard of any issue. I told the customer to contact us and we would get it in to see what was going on. We did not hear from her until we received the notice from the BBB of a complaint. We are not sure what the issue is, she will have to schedule an appointment for us to take a look at and diagnose. As far as the titles, they are all rebuilt titles which is clearly stated and signed by the customer on the Bill of Sales for each vehicle.

Review: I contacted A&R about purchasing the truck on 3/31/2015. Mr. [redacted] stated the truck was perfect mechanically with a couple rust bubbles over each rear tire. We agreed on the price of $27,500.00 and he would give me $8,000.00 for my 2004 Chevrolet.I live in Virginia, so he agreed to meet me half way to exchange trucks on 4/1/2015. His driver was over an hour late meeting me and stated he got stuck in traffic behind an accident. When I was almost home service engine light came on, guages went crazy, other service lights flashed, and truck cuts out randomly. Took the truck to the Dodge dealer on 4/2/2015. They scanned it and thought they found the issue and that it would cost $1019.00 dollars. I asked them to perform work, which they did, but it did not fix the issue. They re-scanned and investigated and could not find/fix the issue. This took all day 4/3/2015. When I contacted A&R Auto Sales representative, [redacted], about the issue he stated he had to stop and get the electrical issue fixed on the way to meet me. He thought it was fixed, though. That was the real reason [redacted] was over an hour late meeting me not the traffic due to an accident. I called A&R and asked for my truck and money back. They said they had already sold my truck. They offered $24,000.00 to take truck backDesired Settlement: Refund for the truck.

I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 3/31 about the vehicle in the complaint. I described the vehicle in detail. I described the truck to the best of my ability and honestly. We agreed on a price of $19605.00 including his trade and fees.We agreed on a price and made arrangements to deliver the vehicle at a time and place that Mr. [redacted] chose.The delivering salesperson, [redacted] encountered and accident on his way to the delivery and was delayed by a detour. His intention was certainly not to delay a delivery. After driving about only 30 miles, he noticed that the gauges were not acting properly and stopped at a service facility who's name escapes me now. He asked for some assistance and after just 10 minutes, was told that the problem was only a loose battery terminal. The technician adjusted it charged him $20.00 and his trip continued without incident other than a detour around the site of the accident mentioned earlier.Upon arriving at the agreed destination, Mr. [redacted], along with his son and daughter, physically examined both the interior and exterior of the truck. After the inspection, Mr. [redacted] and his son took it for a test drive. After their test drive, they offered no concerns or complaints. The necessary papers were signed and Mr. [redacted] presented [redacted] with two cashier's checks, (one check for $18605.00 and one for $1000.00). When [redacted] asked "Why two checks?" Mr. [redacted] stated that in the event the truck hadn't been to his satisfaction, he would attempt to negotiate out the $1000.00 check.I believe that Mr. [redacted] was satisfied with the condition of the truck when he took delivery.As far as an issue that arose later, I can't comment, as I was never offered any work orders or diagnostic information from either the buyer or his chosen repair facility. Mr. [redacted] states in his complaint that he took the truck to a Dodge dealership and was charged over $1000.00 without a solution to a problem that I am still don't know about. And, with this in mind, I have no intent on making or paying for any repairs. The claim that I offered to repurchase the truck from Mr. [redacted] for $24000.00 was accurate and just about $1500.00 more than I had paid for it previously. He did however, make an offer to sell it back to me for $25000.00 just so his wife would "get off his back" I appreciate the Revdex.com's interest in this and other issues, but AI don't feel that Mr. [redacted] has a legitimate complaint.In the many years A&R has been in business, this is the first and only time I've had to answer a complaint like this. We operate our business with the future in mind and we do our utmost to serve our customer base fairly.
