My husband and I drove to Cleveland because we saw two vehicles advertised on auto trader from this auto sales place. We checked the first truck over and wasn't to our satisfaction. We then looked at a 2004 Dodge Durango. We asked to test drive the vehicle and while driving said vehicle the temperature gauge went up to the almost high mark. We turned around and came back to the dealership and by the time we arrived back the gauge went back to the middle mark which is medium. When we got back, we told the salesman Mack what the vehicle had done and he said he would have the shop guy look at it. The shop guy pressure tested the cooling system and said that the system was leaking off pressure. So they replaced the radiator cap with a new one and filled the radiator full of antifreeze (with the wrong kind for that vehicle, which we found out later from our garage). The whole time the vehicle was running or idling, you could smell antifreeze. We test drove the vehicle again and said gauge seemed to work properly under our test drive of a couple of miles. We decided to purchase said vehicle with cash. Paying 4900.00 for the vehicle on April 27th 2013. Since bringing the vehicle home we have had to put over 4 gallon of antifreeze and water, plus replace the radiator for leaking and the gauge has went to high 10 or more times, the same way it did the first time we test drove it. We have had to two different garages look at it, the first garage told us about the radiator and the last one we took it to did a diagnostics test and they told us in this testing that the head gaskets were blown or the head was cracked. We called this said dealership today and they told us it was our problem. Are you kidding me? They don't stand behind their vehicles, now we have to put another 2,000.00 dollars in this vehicle, which we don't have; it has been 2 weeks since we purchased this vehicle.
