11/1/Response to Mr***, The point of this letter is to point out Mr***’s inaccuracies and non truths in regards to his tire purchase. You only have to look five words in to his very first sentence to see the first one. He states that he came in on Friday, the 5th of
October, for a flat repair. By simply looking at a calendar you can see that the 5th is actually a Thursday. Also, this is the day the tires were installed; I don’t recall a flat repair ever being done. We have no record of it and we would if it was the case Now you may think that this is just a minor oversight but as this letter continues you will see that this is the norm for Mr***. The next inaccuracy in the letter is that Mr*** states he paid $for the tires when he actually paid $1252.24. He next states that he picked up the vehicle and drove home to Hudson where he parked it until the following Tuesday A.M. From my location to Hudson (** ** *** ***) is miles. From that location to where *** told me he had an issue is miles (est.) totaling miles (his claim). From the time we saw the vehicle (10-5-17) till the following Tuesday (10-10-17) *** put miles on the vehicle which is a lot different than his claim. This is well documented by my office and also by *** *** BMW. There are only a few tire manufacturers that make a runflat tire in the size that ***’s vehicle uses. I told him the four brands and he chose the Goodyear’s. He never mentioned wanting the original tire. He wanted a proper tire which is exactly what he chose. I made a few calls to BMW dealers near Akron and even called some out of state dealers and was told by all of them that the Goodyear tire that *** chose/bought is their best seller. Further in to ***’s letter he states that I had agreed to refund his money and pay his towing bill. First, I own four tow trucks and would have never agreed to pay for another tow company to tow anything. Second, it is impossible to make any promises without knowing all the facts about the situation. On 10-10-during our third conversation I told *** that I needed the vehicle brought to my facility to inspect it and determine what was going on. He responded by telling me that we had had our crack at it. There are some more points that I can address at a later time. Thank you, Aaron ***
12/11/17Response (2nd) to Mr***, Let's talk lugnutsI've spent some time researching ***'s claimsPlease keep in mind that all of his issues/claims are hearsay at this point because he refused to bring the vehicle back to me so we could be clear on what happenedMy research included my own expertise (grew up here!), my father's forty-seven plus years in the business and numerous discussions with tire shops in Akron and around the countryEvery single shop I spoke with told me that on the rare occasion they had a lugnut issue it always happened before the vehicle left the parking lotNot one single shop told em about any issues that took place over ten miles driven, let alone plus milesMy point is that if ***'s claims are accurate, he would have had a problem before he left my long drivewayOnce he made the decision to go elsewhere and remove his used tires he essentially narrowed himself into the corner he now finds himself. My position has not changed***'s dilemma and unhappiness at this point is a result of his doingI tried to help him but he told me "we had our shot." ***'s tires are still in my building, accumulating storage fees, awaiting his pickup
