A-Rods-Automotive Reviews (%countItem)

I had the transmission worked on and sway bar links replaced 3/8/2019. we were having transmission issues is what it seemed like any way. so we parked it for a while til we found our warranty and we called them and tony rodriguez said to bring it in. he called the next day and let us know it was the gasket and pan under the transmission and that we were good to go. I asked him if he could also look at the sway bar link because it looked like they missed a nut he said he would later that day and let me know. then today 2/19/2020 he called and said whats going on my lot is getting backed up I told him you said you were going to let me know about the bolt he said I told you I was going to do it that day and I reminded him that he said he just got it out he had other cars to look at and he would let me know. so I told him to just put the keys and paper work in the van and I will get them after work because they close before I could get there. he said he wasnt going to give me any paper work unless I paid him 75$ which I didnt understand because I had a warranty on it and I like to keep all my papers together and if it wasnt under warranty he never said so at any time. so I get there to pick it up and he put paperwork I the van saying he terminated my warranty because I ran the fluid low but like I said it was a leak in the gasket so it couldt hold fluid. also when I picked it up the stick wasnt even reading it has fluid I drove it to warm it up and it only went to the cold line. and he will not do any thing about it and it is still leaking transmission fluid.

A-Rods-Automotive Response • Feb 26, 2020

In response to the complaint ID #*** filed on February 19, 2020. Said vehicle had a remanufactured transmission installed and front-end sway bar links replaced on March 8, 2019 with no further issues.

February 19, 2020 Vehicle was brought in for diagnosis. Upon diagnosis found transmission pan was damaged (see attached) causing the leak and loss of fluid. Contacted customer (husband) to advise him of the damage and they would be responsible for any repairs. Warranty covers mechanical components only, warranty is void if alterations, accidents or customer abuse caused the initial damage. The customer (husband) advised that (wife) hit a speed bump, broke the strut, continued to drive the vehicle which caused the damage. Customer declined repairs at their cost. I advised them that I removed the transmission pan, straightened out flanges, inspected for further damage, reinstalled pan and refilled transmission with fluid for "no charge."

Customer (wife) called to pick up vehicle and asked for a receipt. I stated there was no invoice due to the fact there was no charge. There's usually a $75 diagnosis fee since it was not under warranty due to the damage. I waived the fee as well as made the vehicle driveable, so they did not have to have it towed to their residence.

A copy of their original invoice #*** (see attached) and a copy of the warranty denial #*** (see attached).

Due to erratic behavior from the customer (wife) on public forums as well as telephone, we refuse to do any further business with these customers.
