I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I read Mr***' response to my complaint and his recollection of events is not correct. Let me be clear he has no signed contract in his possession because I did not sign any contract. If Mr*** maintains such a contract is in his possession, let him attach a copy of this contract in his response to my reply Further he indicates a warranty, which cannot exist if he does not honor it by returning to complete the work agreed upon and refuses to take calls concerning the matter; he has no lifetime warranty.On August 14, Mr*** quoted me a price of $for masonry work to repair a leak to a window at my home. He described the repair as brick that needed to be removed, reset in mortar and sealed to prevent further leaks. The repair was simply made by sealing the brick and no removal or reset of any brick was done. When I challenged the cost of the repair, he agreed to seal my brick sidewalk to justify the price he was charging for this work. He agreed to return and do this work the following week.Mr*** scheduled two return visits; one on 8/21/and one on 8/28/and did not return on either date to finish the workHe did not call to cancelI had to call him and ask why he had not returnedSince that time he has not answered several phone calls regarding this work Because of the excessive overcharge for the work done and the failure to return and complete the job, I am requesting a refund in the amount of $250.00. Based upon other estimates I have received, $is more than a fair price to compensate Mr*** for the work he did during his visit and I am willing to drop my complaint if he agrees to reimburse me the other $for his lack of performance. I am not trying to be punitive, I am simply asking to be treated fairly
