I am rejecting this response because: I have contacted GAF Corpabout the problem I am having with the garage roofThey are sending out a factory certified GAF roofing company to inspect the problemThis inspection should be completed by August 30th, 2017.At this time MrC [redacted] has not set any exact time frame in which he will come out to inspect the leakage problem on the garage roof that he installedUntil I get the results of the inspection by the certified GAF roofing installation company and discuss the problem with MrC [redacted] in person I cannot resolve the issue

The consumer feels that the business owner is lying. There has not been any contact from the business since April. The consumer is considering pursing this matter legally.

I have read the new information sent to me today and please correct me if I'm wrong but it seams that mr [redacted] is rejecting me from coming out and seeing what's happening on his roof which I feel is unfair in this case simply because a) this is a reoccurring problem b)he spoke to a representative from either the manufacturer or from a distributor and they said that installing ice guard on entire le roof was an acceptable installation process and that's what I did c)this is at the very bottom edge of EXPOSED/OPEN roof with a low pitch ,gutter attached to fascia with an abundance of forresty around it and finally d)I missed no set appointments and he clearly stated that he simply wanted it looked at before winter and I didn't even get a chance to respond to this complaint before he jumped into another Avenue I clearly stated that I would go look at it for him and am not being given a chance to do soI don't feel as if I did anything wrong and certainly didn't perform any work in less than a workman like manner

I have been in business for years with zero complaints because I know how long and hard people work for their money and respect their homesthe whole reason that mr*** had his roof replaced on his detached unheated garage with exposed lebuilt-Off the side was because the bottom
boards along the gutter Edge on the exposed lewe're rotting out due to moistureI replaced the rotting boards and I installed GAF ice guard from the gutter Edge all the way up to the transition from the lower-pitched leroof into the 5/pitch garageI did this in order to ensure that any nails that pokes through the shingles into the decking were sealed with the ice guard to prevent water and/ or ice from damaging lower pitched roof wood through the shingles from the top sideBeing as I did these previous procedures in order to ensure that no water could damage the top side of the boards along the gutter on the leroof, it is my expert opinion that the damage is occurring in the same spot as before because of the exposed underneath side of the plywood And The Gutter is attached to the fascia board on this low pitched roofI did exactly what I said I would do and the only other option for this kind of roof because of the lower pitch would be a rolled roofing system which does not carry as much of a warranty and does not last as long as the architectual shingles do and that is why we decided to use the shingles on the roof which by using the ice guard underlayment all the entire roof area made this the best optionThe last time I spoke to mr*** were " I just wanted you to come out and look at it before winter hits"I told him I might be done with this big job I was doing but Friday or Saturday and I would try to get out there to take a look at it for himI did not get done with that job until TuesdayI was under the impression that he knew that this was not caused by my shingles on my installation because we used the above-mentioned procedures to ensure that water could not come in from the top of his roofAgain I was under the understanding that I was coming out to check to see why this keeps on doing this to him on this one section of roofI have no problem going out and taking a look at his gutter system and the Forestry around the roof area to see if the same area it bring affected by water because of one of themI do not believe that my shingles or ice guard underlayment have or are failing in the same area that is exposed leroof had failed previouslyI have no problem setting an appointment when I am free to come take a look at this and help him figure out what is going on.it is unfortunate that my name and company are being negatively affected
