Review: I booked a 2-day job to be done refinishing my hardwood floors on a Wednesday and Thursday. Two workers showed up 2 hours late on Wed 11/*. One worker took the deposit to buy material stating the other would work on his own for an hour until he returned. The worker who took the $450 cash deposit never came back and the worker who was left at my home did as much as he could on his own, but left at the end of the day when no one responded to his calls. I also tried calling the office and the cell phone of owner, but did not get through. Eventually after the worker left I was contacted by the owner of the company with an apology and he stated the job would continue on Thu 11/* between 8 and 8:30am and that they would need a few hours on Fri 11/* to complete. They never showed up on 11/* or returned any of my numerous calls during the day. The owner did however call us after 5pm and told us he was arrested that day and that's why he couldn't show up to the job or call - and against our better judgement we agreed that he could come back the next day 11/* to honor the service he promised. Our house was in disarray and we just wanted the work done. Needless to say he never showed up only sent a few texts that he was waiting for his "guy"...but still never showed up. So now they have my cash deposit (stupidly I got no receipt, never expecting not to see them to get one since they left a worker on-site), my carpet is ripped up, my furniture is all over the place, I had a furniture delivery scheduled for 11/* that I had to reschedule, I lost a days wages on 11/* since I took a day off without pay and I have wood floors that are half sanded so I can't even just decide not to get it done if I wanted to.Desired Settlement: I believe the business has the responsibility to give back our deposit and to also give us an apology. What went down was so uncalled for and unprofessional. We had used their services a year and a half ago and it was a totally different experience then, I don't know what happened in 18 months but it was not good. In a perfect world they would also compensate me for my lost wages $200. I wish they could provide the service free of charge, but at at this point I would never want them back in my home after such erratic behavior.
