[redacted] came into the salon On Friday night for her appointment, asking for Grey hair color (Photo on Pinterest). The Picture was not Grey Ombre but all...

grey but the roots which were black,in the picture. I asked her if she wanted to do half way down and the ends, she said no she wanted the picture. I told her we would need to bleach her hair up but I could do it. I informed her that the color was temporary and would fade out and she would need to redo the silver. During her consultation I asked her what she had done to her hair, any hair color, relaxing, straightening, highlights etc. She told me just the dark color on her hair. So I started Removing the color from her hair. I used 5X the amount I would use on someone with normal length and texture. So we started lightening her hair. We worked on her hair for 3 hours the first night. she left with Gold, orange hair, Which is normal in the lifting stages. They are Red-orange-Gold-Blonde. I told her We could stay and apply again, She said no she was tired and would wear a hat to work. I told her I would stay she didn't have to do that. She said she would come back on Saturday. so we set her appointment.
She came in on Saturday and we started lightening again. I checked it and didn't see anything. When we shampooed it the back of her hair broke off, from the occipital Bone down, leaving about 6 or so inches. I didn't understand what was going on because I started on the back right then did back left then front left then front right side. So to me it didn't make any since to me. If it was something I had done the whole back right side should have broken off.
She said it was because she used to lift the back of her hair up and just color the back underneath. I said you didn't tell me that. she said it was her fault and not mine. I informed her we would have done something different if I would have known that. we did a reconstructing treatment.($25 value). Rinsed that out and went to my chair.
So at that time I asked her about cutting an angled bob, leaving the length in the front. She said no, She said just leave it. I informed her it would look better being cut. she went back on Pinterest and showed me a picture with a lady with shoulder length hair. I told her we would cut it to the length in the back she said ok (showing her where it would roughly fall). so we cut it. when we were done she said she hadn't had it that short for a long time but she liked it. (I had to piece cut the ends because of the bottom back.)
 
So after cutting it we put the silver color on, VERO K-PAK (No ammonia conditioning temporary color) . we colored the hair and she liked it. we did not style it because it was after 9 and been working on her hair about 6 hours. With cutting, coloring and drying. She said that was fine, she was tired too. Before she left I gave her $71.68 in product (BC Bonacure Fiberforce Shampoo, conditioner and Treatment) to reconstruct the back of her hair; where she didnt tell me what she had done.
she called me on Sunday, and said she was not happy and wanted refund back, for Saturday, She was happy with Friday. So I told her I would refund her that portion, after much debate. My system would not let me refund Saturday night, do to not being 24 hours. I told her that but looked at Fridays and told her I could refund Fridays instead. She said she wanted saturdays refunded not Friday she was fine with that day. I told her my system wouldn't let me. I told her I would give her $15 in cash to make up the difference of the two days. She said fine. Her mother came and picked up the $20 in cash because that was all I had. I sent her a text informing her of that at 2:40 PM after her mother left.
she called me again Monday and she was still unhappy and she hadn't received the refund yet and how did she know if I really did it. I looked up in my system and found where it was refunded. I told her to call her bank and find out how long it takes. She said when I swiped it it came right out. Again I told her I had nothing to do with that it was the credit card company and to call her bank. She also told me it looked green. I told her silvers come in different undertones. she said it was my fault and I should have told her. I told her she brought the picture of silver hair to me and all I can do is get the color and apply it.
I sent my credit card processing company a message asking how long it took for a refund, they said 24-48 hours. I told them I did it Sunday they said it should be today, Tuesday.
So I have refunded her $130.00 ($20.00 cash and $110 refund). I feel this is fair.
