A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue

My family and I lost our dog to cancer about months ago and took him to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast to be put to sleep when it became too much for himThe volunteers at this rescue were some of the kindness people we have ever met, which is why we decided to adopt from a rescue shelterWe found a puppy we loved on a Second Chance Rescues websiteWe live in Port Saint Lucie and drove all the way to Royal Palm Beach to go visit the puppy at one of their petsmart adoption eventsWhen we arrived, we fell in loveWe waited in line for over an hour as they proceeded to ignore us and give everyone behind us serviceWe kept attempting to get their attention, but they would simply ignore us or give us some type of ridiculous excuse to why they weren`t helping usWhen we were finally served, [redacted] women was extremely rude and treated us as though we were incompetentShe made us fill out [redacted] application we did online again, and then called the vet of our dog who had passed [redacted] check his shot recordsWhen she got of the phone with our former vet, she told us she could never allow us to adopt one of their animals because our late pet missed his rabies shots the year before he passedWe were devastated and infuriatedI will never again set foot in a Second Chance RescueThe volunteers are overly obnoxious and play favorites with everyone who walks through the doorThis animal rescue is a disgrace to animal shelters everywhere, particularly that of the kind Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, and I will never let anyone I know go through attempting to adopt an animal from them
