[redacted]’s complaint dated August 16, 2013 has been reviewed as part of our commitment to answer all outstanding complaints against [redacted].I have researched the account thoroughly, and can confirm that [redacted] applied online to Avalon Fashion Valley on two separate occasions, June 14, 2013 and July 20, 2013, before cancelling his move-in altogether via email on August 12, 2013. As a customer service gesture, the leasing office chose to minimize [redacted]’s financial liability by limiting the time he was liable to 10 days that the apartment was being held off the market for him.Our online application system does not allow an applicant to continue past a certain point without acknowledging and agreeing to the terms and conditions. This verbiage states that an applicant can be charged a per diem rate for the days the apartment is reserved from the start of the application.
