To begin with this moving crew showed up 5.5 hours late to start their job, then later lied about their show time to owner and he tried to charge me an extra hour and for two extra people, initially the owner said were free because they were late. The truck was packed loosely and with a lot of space throughout the truck so items could fall and be damaged, and there was a lot of damage. I bought covers for the couch, love seat and all the beds, they were not used, until I went out and asked why they were not using them. Furniture was soiled because they did not use them. Furniture was damaged because the movers got mad after they had worked 3 hours of a 4 hour job, I asked about all the wasted space in the truck and still things to be packed on the truck and they said they were done. So the movers started throwing items on the truck, with many things still in my house, I was asked what I wanted to go! The movers put heavy things on large plastic bags and things started sliding, they also placed both moving dollies on a small end table, and now it is bowed and broken, many pieces of furniture is damaged, scraped, scratched, dirty, broken, and each piece found to be damaged was sent to the owner, and I have yet to hear from him. A family member of mine contacted him to see how he was going to rectify the situation of the poorly packed truck and he said his wife would contact me and send a crew over to repack the truck, but I never heard from anyone from A Smart Move. I requested a refund from him because of the sorry packing job. I have not heard from him, and it has been a month since I moved. I have called over five times and sent over 10 pictures of damaged furniture. I had to pay someone else to unpack and repack my truck before I could leave and begin my 1400 mile trip. I would like for the owner to acknowledge my photos, the damage done by his crew to my things and an apology.
