This letter is in response to the complaint involving *** ***Her original appointment date was November 10, at 4:00pmFirst, the name of the business is incorrectThe business is called "A Spa Thing", we are located inside of Waves Salon and Spa. Secondly it is not a gift card, it
was a Groupon that was purchased onlineMrs*** called the morning of her appointment to cancel and was told of our under hour cancellation policy, which is stated on ALL Groupons purchased, also on a 8xframe that is located on our front desk where her son stood next to when he came in to pay for tip and tax ahead of time. We are instructed by Groupon that we may charge up to the full amount of purchase price to reschedule an appointment but we only charge half which in this case was $We always and did apologize to Mrs*** that we have to do that, but it is our policy no matter the caseA big inconsistency when she called to cancel was she told Michele P*** that she had to work, then when her son called he claimed she was illShe said she would come in only after yelling at me and insulting our profession by saying "it's not like your brain surgeons, you are just massage therapists". Michele R*** was contacted and told of this because she was the one scheduled to do her massage and wanted to make sure she felt comfortableShe did not (we have the right to refuse service if we feel uncomfortable for any reason) she then called whom she thought was Mrs*** to let her know she would not be doing her massage that day because she felt insulted, and considered Mrs*** to be rude and disrespectful for slanderizing our business. Michele R*** was then contacted by Mrs*** son stating that she had called his girlfriends phone and left a voicemail regarding his mothers massage appointment and responded with saying "he would be ***if we were keeping his $tip and I was catty for acting this way and he would be in to collect it. Michele P*** called him with no answer and left a message stating he could get his $back but would need to call first because there is not always someone in the salonHe has never called or came in to pick it upIt is still at the front desk with a note waiting for him. As for the $groupon that was purchased we do not collect that until the service is providedGroupon would need to be contacted to get a refund from them we DO NOT have the $30.
