This is in reply to the complaint made by [redacted] When a tenant signs up for auto credit card payment and their card gets declined, we will keep running it, but as you can see by the attached ledger I have attached ledger, Nov rent was paid on Dec ***, $fees was charged for month of Nov, $on the ***, $on the [redacted] and [redacted] on the [redacted] all of which was stated in the lease which she signed and agreed to.As for the phone calls, we do call tenants for payment and to remind them they are accumulating late fees as per their lease agreement and they were informed when they rented.I am also attaching a copy of notes We were promised she would come in with payments and did notShe had a balance due in Dec of $she came to the office in Dec and offered $on a rent of $ which clearly is not reasonable on her partand we refused it.A Space Place Storage advertised climate control units and non climate control units, the unit she rented was not a climate control unitIt was never represented that it was a climate control unit and her inspection of it she didnt see any airconditioning ducts in her rowWe give one month free and state on selected units, the unit she took did not have one month free and the written agreement would have stated there was a month free if that were applicableAs for the security cameras, they are monitored and workingAs for the gate, it did go down and the part was ordered that took days and a security person was on premises at night We at A Space Place Storage have thousands of satisfied customers, but occasionally someone is either unsatisfied or has expectations not consistent with the services we offer We always strive to provide fair and proper serviceI have spoken to [redacted] and explained this to her and she said she understood but I have to answer the complaint

I received a e-mail on Monday from unit 150 that they had not received credit I told them I would look in to it with my band and I did and I saw $40 credit did not go through so I did it again they should call there band and see it is pending I called my band and said it was issued

Review: A space place storage false advertises and says that there are climate control units and there are not. the place is run down, there are o working security cameras in the building.. it says you get a month free which I never received , there are no dumpsters.... I also have a problem with billing , I had to switch from automatic withdrawl from my bank account , they run a scam where they take money one month and not the next and then they charge you late fees and you get harassing phone calls, meanwhile its their fault they didn't charge you .. when you pay they ont take off the charges for their mistake.. If you are late on a payment they charge you $100 for a few weeks being late .. when you look at your account for an explanation of fees it has the same fee listed several times.. They do nothing to fix the place up, it looks like a dump and is very dirty . I have complained and so have many others and they do nothing and expect to charge outrageous fees. Also the front gate is always broken, they only band aid it instead of fixing the problem and its constantly breaking, where anyone can get in our things are not safe thereDesired Settlement: I would like the be refunded all the late fees they charged me when I had automatic with drawl and it was their fault that they didn't take the money out .I would just like them to fix the place up and be the business they claim to be, they also need to have more reasonable late fees.. Right now if your two weeks late , you pay almost double for your unit. They also will not take a partial payment so that they can collect they late fees

Review: I have complained once before and the [redacted] said that things were resolved and they werent. They false advertise and the building is so decrepid theyre are no no ceilings and the parts that are up are falling down. Their security system doesnt work. I have to move storage uniys bc mostly all of my belongings have been ruined by water leaks. I was there 2 years nothing has ever been fixed. Noreen the [redacted] is threatening me to pay a bill for anything I leave behind because they do not supply a dumpster and I have to throw out all my damaged belongings. I have pictures. There is also lead paint , horrible leaks , its dirty and unkept. I have spoken to noreen and asked why things havent been fixed she said because she sisnt have the money. Please inspect the premises they need to be shut down. I have pictures of the building insideDesired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for all the times they gave me false late charges when I had direct debit. I would also like to be paid for my losses of my belongings and for them to repair the building so others dont go through this. I am going to a better storage unit

Review: A storage unit was rented and the staff was notified that we had renters insurance.

Never at any time did she request a copy of renters insurance statement at the time of rental.

Nor was it represented at any time that we would be charged for insurance we never agreed to (and already had through another carrier).

It was only after I noticed that I was being overcharged each month on my credit card statement that it was determined that her office enrolled the unit in insurance we never agreed to, authorized, asked for or was told about.

Numerous contacts were made with promises to resolve via a refund from A Space Place never and they never delivered a refund after months of emails.Desired Settlement: Refund my $45 and stop charging me for a service that was not requested or needed.

Review: I rented a storage unit at A Space Place. When I went to move out of the unit, there was extensive rodent damage. Before touching my belongings, I went to the office to report the problem. She told me that rodent damage was covered, to take pictures and make a claim. When I went to make a claim, the insurance company said rodent damage was not covered. When I reported this back to A Space Place, they told me they would look into it. They gave me the run-around for two weeks before saying it wasn't their problem.Desired Settlement: My furniture and other belongings were ruined. At the least, I want a refund.
