This is a one man operation and an incompetent one at that. I ask him to change out the compressor on a U-line under counter refrigerator which he promptly did after some other troubleshooting. However the refrigerator temperature now wouldn't go below 44 degrees and the new compressor was running non-stop. On a return call he said there was too much Freon and adjusted the level in the system. Told me to call back with the results after the system had time to adjust. Refrigerator still would go below 44 degrees, but tech wouldn't return my calls. After running for 36 hours the new compressor overheated, burned out the wiring and blew the household circuit breaker Refrigerator now goes to the scrap heap. Still waiting for a call back and my $480.

A Star sent out a technician to fix the "rumble" in my Maytag Stack unit on a Wednesday...so as I held my breath for the bad news, the tech, [redacted], explained the problem, checked stock for parts, and found that 2 parts needed to be ordered. He indicated about 2-3 day lead time for the ordered parts to arrive...and much to my surprise, they called on Friday, told me the parts were in, and scheduled a Saturday morning appointment for installation. Thanks to [redacted] for taking the extra few minutes to explain the problem, and get it resolved with very little "downtime" ...very seldom do I run into a Technician as polite, informed, and professional as [redacted] was. Thanks

Review: I had a part replaced in my ice maker in my refrigerator and the part went out during the 1 year warranty period. The serviceman and company refused to replace the part without cost because I did not give him the old part went it was replaced 9 months earlier. At the time the part was replaced I specifically asked the serviceman ([redacted]) if the part was under warranty for 1 year and he said yes several times. I also called the company that day and they assured me it was under warranty for 1 year. I have the original invoice and it clearly states a 1 year warranty but not that I had to surrender the old part. It is signed by the service man. The company refuses to talk with me and I talked with the supposed supervisor/owner who told me to " [redacted] off" and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I want an Apology from [redacted], [redacted] and the owner of the company. Also I want reimbursement for the cost of a replacement part for a part that should have been replaced in my ice maker in my refrigerator that was still under warranty.

Review: I went on the internet to locate a repair company for our Samsung Washer. I used google to search: repair Samsung washers + Florissant. The search pulled up Florissant Appliance Repair and More - 314-678-8823 ...www.appliancerepair-florissantmo.com/When I called the 314 678-8823 number a female answered and told me to call 888-491-5417. So I called the 888 number which was A Star Services Appliance Repair. The tech that they dispatched was the same company that had told me to call the 888 number, Faust Appliances 314 732-9500 (working out of home). The tech name was [redacted], which came out for service for the washer 7/5/14.He identified the silver care part as the problem. He came approximately one and a half week later and replaced the part. We were quoted $166.00 in which I took and part and labor. After he took off the part I checked it to see where it was leaking, NO leaks. Tech ([redacted]) closed up the machine and gave us the bill. To our surprise bill was a total of $284.99. We were charged $166.45 for the part which the cost was actually $18.50 shipping of part, $88.00 and $99.95 for labor. Not only was that the only surprise washer was still leaking. Tech then said you must have two leaks. I called Samsung and told them about the problem. They sent out a tech and that tech identified that the hose that when form the dispenser to the tub was leaking because of it rubbing from the concrete block that stabilizes the tub.I called A Star Services and they replied that I should have called them to come back out, why would I call Samsung.Desired Settlement: I asking for total of labor, part and shipment $284.99.
