A-Star Oil

We have been getting Oil deliveries from this company for many years. I would NOT recommend them for anything. I had them service my furnace. The first time they were scheduled to come they did not show up. when we called to ask why we were told they we there. Which is not true as I work from home. My doorbell did not ring and my dog did not bark. we made another appointment for a month later. After they cleaned my furnaces my tenants heat was not working. The technician came and replaced the nozzle he put on. He said it was defective. Called again as I noticed near where the filter is the 1st floor was leaking oil. Technician came out after I was yelled at by the owner again. The Technician tightened a bolt and told me to watch to see if it is still leaking. A couple of days later my tenants heat was not working again. The Owner told us to find someone else he is not sending someone to. If there is an issue the Owner is very un-professional, he yells, talks over you and does not want to listen to what the issue is. He will insist that it was nothing his technician did even after the technician comes back and fixes the issue. He will not send someone out until you agree to pay for the trip if the technician tells him, it has nothing to do with the service they provided. So, I guess I am going to small claims court as I paid $400 to have my 2 furnaces cleaned and now, I have to pay for their mistakes.

Awful customer service. Misleading customers on delivery times. Delivery date was scheduled for today but claimed driver arrived at 6am when payment was left out at 7:30 am for a company that opens at 8am. Wanted to charge an additional $30 to come back before 8pm as a same day delivery charge. If deliveries occur at 6 am, shouldn't customers be made aware of delivery times so payments are left out safely? Also, never leave cash for payment. Drivers will not leave change even if it's written on the envelope.

Terrible experience with customer service "Stephanie" and had to wait 3 days for oil. Calling attorney general with complaint.

I have used A-Star Oil on a few occasions. I had my suspicions that I was not getting all the oil that I had ordered when I checked my oil gauge a few months ago prior to this fill up of 100 gal. After the delivery man left this time I checked my gauge and there is know way I got 100 gal of oil !!!
I only have a 200 gal tank that was on fumes and the 100 gal they presumably put in only brought it to 1/4 tank. It should have been at least near 1/2 full mark. This is a new house. The system is brand new. Gauges are accurate. Beware !!!
Also I called on Tues Dec 2 and was told because of a snow storm coming in on Dec 4th they could not deliver my oil till Friday Dec 5th. They were a no show so I called on Dec 6th because I was going to run dry at any moment. They did come on Dec 6th and supposedly putt 100 gal in the tank. But the gauge only went to 1/4 full line. I also reminded the woman I spoke to on Dec 2nd to please make sure the gate is properly closed so my dogs don't get lose and sure enough they did not. Minor issue but never the less. The big concern is be sure you get all the oil you pay for.
