Office Manager (Business Response.pdf)

On Sept 1,Mr*** *** complained of loud noise in the engineWhen we assessed the vehicle, there was a lot of noise coming from the rod bearings and the main bearing of the engineUpon inspection of the Chevrolet Celebrity our diagnostic was engine failureWe did a compression test
which stated Compression Piston #155, Compression Piston #2130, Compression Piston #125, Compression Piston#160, Compression #and Compression Piston #Also upon draining the engine oil because of the color of the oil, being gold/silver color, we passed a magnet over it and it pulled particles of metalCustomer had agreed to rebuild his engineWhen we took the motor apart piston #& #was grinding the rod with the crankshaft there was no rod bearing it was dissolved, it was grinding the crankshaft with the rodCrankshaft needed to be cut 10xbecause the piston #and piston #grinded the crankshaftThe two heads needed to be replaced with used ones because they were crackedWe wrote out an estimate for the parts that we saw were in need of repair some he approved others he chooses not to have them repairedThose items will be highlighted in the estimate form that are attached to this letterParts removed were shown to the customer and are still here if we needed to be showed againAs of October 27,the engine was rebuilt and completedWe had loss of communication in between October and Dec 13,2016. The vehicle had come in on September 1, till January 12,not because of the length of time to repair the vehicle but because of lack of communication and paymentThe customer was supposed to give a deposit to start the processOn Sept 27,2016, we sent out a letter stating that as of September 19,2016, there was no communication regarding the vehicleOn October 07,2016, we sent papers for a lien because there had being no response to our letter or phone calls with the client since September 19,Customer did not come in to do a payment until October 19,at that moment we showed him what needed to be done on the engine, had his approval to proceed but never did he discuss that there would be a delay in paymentHe didn't want to repair the power steering pump, the rack and pinion, and denied the transmission service that he was having financial problems and didn't want to add more to his billOnce again it was difficult to get a hold of Mr***We were lenient with Mr*** to not proceed with the lien because of his financial hardshipOn December 13,2016, he came in and checked on the vehicle and test drove itAt that point we suggested again to change the power steering pump because it had a massive leak and the catalytic converter was making the engine lose powerWe separated the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter, we showed him with the camera that his catalytic converter was cloggedHe then approved to have the power steering and catalytic converter replacedHe then came in on December 16,2016, to make another payment of $2,in which he tests drove the car again but didn't take the vehicle because lack of full paymentWe had sent another letter to receive payment for the car on January 3, stating we would charge storage fees and will be put back on a lienHe finally came to pick up the vehicle on January 12,and received the final payment of $2,Before taking the vehicle, he had test drove the car three different times in between the months of October thru JanuaryHe was not charged any storage fees because of his financial situationNot once did we ever do any work in the transmission Mr*** then called us on January 16,complaining that he had problems with the vehicle, it was having difficulty shiftingWe had told him if it was related to the engine he was still under warranty but we had to inspect the vehicle at our shopWe never denied seeing the car but in the invoice, he signed it states no tow truck providedHe screamed and yelled and insulted us on the phone stating "So you are denying to work on my vehicle" Then he came later that afternoon without the vehicle using foul language screaming and stating that we denied to see his carThen he made threatsThe gentleman was asked to leave the premises because of his behavior but not once did we deny to inspect the vehicleHe refused to bring in the car for inspectionThe vehicle was in San Diego at the moment he came into the shop.Thank you,*** ***

Good afternoon. This email serves as a rebuttal to A Star Transmission statement. In September my car broke down on the 15 freeway. I took my car to  A star transmission. I was to by [redacted] the Manager that an diagnostic was done and I needed an engine. They give me an quote and I told [redacted] I needed the time to think amount the repairs. Less than two days later the engine was removed. [redacted] the manager promise that the job would be done in two weeks. As we know now the car was not given to me till January 12,2017. Upon the car with the mechanic ([redacted]) he notice the Chevy has not been run right he said would fix the problem. I been to A star transmission several times after and try to see if my Chevy was ready. It never was till January 12,2017. After the Engine was done [redacted] at A star transmission continued to harass me for  money to fix a power steering pump which was never install and a cataylic converter. I give them the go ahead to install them both. After picking up the car on January 12. The car shut down while at traffic lights and I'm having power steering fluids leak all over my driveway. The fact is I paid over $5000 for a car that does not run. I called A star transmission and express the problems I'm having with the Chevy and they offered no help to tow the car from Temecula to Apple Valley. The manager [redacted] guaranteed that all my car would be fixed and warranted. I trusted them to do the job and they did not. This whole ordeal has been very difficult and stressful for me and my family. I'm ask for my full refunds. I spend over $5000 dollars for my car to be fixed and running and I'm very disappointed with A star transmission response. I'm asking for my refund back in full.     Thank you [redacted]
