To whom it may concern:In response to the complaint, we worked with the aforementioned client for a number of hours choosing a dress for a last minute affair She began to cry as she tried dresses on because she didn't feel good about her body, but felt beautiful in the dress she ultimately bought She asked if the dress could be altered in time for her event which was in days and we guaranteed it She signed a receipt that said "no returns, store credit only" and took her dress home The following morning she came to return the dress and we explained that we don't refund money, but we would be happy to give her a store credit Instead she chose to have the dress pinned and we began the alterations immediately, as her event was in a day We altered the dress till 1am to make sure it was done correctly The customer was scheduled to return the following morning to pick up the dress, but never came We contacted her to find out why she hadn't come yet, at that time she claimed it was too late to wear the dress We explained that the dress was ready in time for her event We have not heard from her since then Had she not had us alter the dress, she would have been welcome to a store credit The dress has now been altered, alterations that we paid for and, since the dress is no longer sale-able since it's been altered, neither a refund nor a store credit is available Her dress is still here and we are happy to forgo the cost of the alteration, if she still wants it If she declines we are happy to donate it to a prom dress sale for underprivileged girls in her name. Please feel free to contact us with any other requests for information.Thank you,Monica N***A Step Ahead###-###-####

Review: I purchased a dress for $595.56 for a black tie affair, I decided that I did not want that style of dress. I attempted to return the dress the following day to the store. They would not accept the dress, they said that they have a no return policy "All Sales Are Final and No Refund". Making such a large purchase I feel they should have told me that all sales are final, that would have given me the option to proceed with the purchase or not. The made sure to tell me that alterations to the dress would cost. It's not fair that they took my money and would not give me a refund. They talked me into having the dress altered and like a fool I did it. This way once the dress is altered they definitely would not take it back. To this day the dress is still at the store because I refuse to pay for the alternations. N[redacted]ss to say I never wore the dress. I feel like I've been robed of $575.56Desired Settlement: I would like at least a $400 refund. NOT A STORE CREDIT

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: They are lying, I was not crying and especially not about my body. I'm tall beautiful and SEXY they must have me confused with someone else. I have attached a copy of the receipts. I was not offered a store credit. I would have taken the store credit over the dress if it was offered. I took the dress back because I did not want it so why not take the store credit, no alterations had been done to the dress at this point. They said and I quote "She signed the receipt that said "no returns, store credit only". The attached receipt says "All Sale Final No Refunds" it does not mentions a store credit. Later in the letter and I quote "Had she not had us alter the dress, she would have been welcome to a store credit" they never offered a store credit. I tried to returned the dress after I got off of work not in the morning. I still want to be refunded the amount that I requested. Read their response
