To the Revdex.com,In response to the complaint, we provided services for the client this past May.  The father of the DJ originally assigned to the event had a medical event earlier in the week and so I made sure two DJ's were on site for the event.  Typically only one is on site with a backup on...

call however I wanted to make sure the client was covered with no interruption.  Both DJ's were on site for set up etc. however they did receive a call that he had been taken to the hospital so the other DJ took over and was fully aware and briefed on the event.  In fact they are the one who put together the music a few days prior to the event.  Every client receives emails from our company explaining what to expect the day of your event, one of those involves us coming up to the client throughout the night to see if they need anything and to make sure they are aware of the next event, ([redacted]).  This is normal protocol for DJ's and venues and photographers.  We did in fact approach the client to go over these things to make sure they were not left unaware of an event which was coming up and to keep them on schedule.  We were alerted by the venue and photographer the bridal party was running a little late and the family was still setting up the center pieces right before the ceremony.  Our DJ was not drunk or incoherent and we confirmed this with the other vendors.  We were told everything ran fine and our personnel were cordial to them and to others.  In regard to the songs, we had all of the songs requested by the client and we played them. After each event I do ask each DJ to give me a brief "report" on each event.  She did mention there was a glitch with one song however there were no problems with other songs or events throughout the night per her report.  In regards to the song her Father wanted played he did listen to the song prior to it being played but the DJ did not make him do this or keep him from the Toast.  The Father requested to listen to the song because he said it was extremely rare and they had found various versions on YouTube and wanted to make sure it was the correct one which he said it was.  He could not be late for the toast because the DJ handles the toast.  It's noted no one knew about the cake cutting however it has already been established by the client we make sure everyone is on the same page and alerted before an event.  However, the venue is a little different in regards to how the cake is cut from most venues.  The DJ and guests are situated outside the venue in the tent and also on the porch and the cake in Inside the venue so at times it is difficult to effectively move people inside for this event at this venue.  Again, on the bouquet, after speaking with other vendors and our DJ everything went fine and as established by the client earlier we alert them to each event prior to.  When the initial email from the client came to me I IMMEDIATELY contacted her.  She stated some of the things mentioned in this complaint, primarily the DJ seemed drunk and the song situation.  As she stated she said she wasn't interested in a refund or writing a negative review but wanted to alert me to the situation for future events.  I thanks her on her voice mail and told her I would immediately look into it and to expect a response from me after she returned from her Honeymoon.  I called her repeatedly to let her know we had looked into the situation and wanted to go over it to let her know our findings.  The written word can come off cold and not give the client or the vendor the proper context of emotion involved thus we always speak directly.  We did receive an email stating she wanted everything via email however we explained we wanted to go over the details to give her the results since they seemed to conflict with what we were seeing.  Again, the written word can come off harsh and uncaring if written out and we needed to convey what we had found, we were not disrespecting her.  Other vendors were able to contact and receive and accept phone calls from the client after the fact.  We explained we simply needed five minutes to go over and go over the situation.  As mentioned earlier, the client was not interested in anything other than the fact we were looking into it and taking care of it which we did and continually tried to handle with the client.  We were surprised to hear of a complaint asking for a full refund through the Revdex.com for this reason.  We provided the service, did what was asked which was to look into the situation for future brides and then tried many times to contact the client.  Again, we believe this could be resolved quickly with a five to ten minute phone call.  We welcome our clients input and also the Revdex.com in this and all matters.  It is our goal to give the highest quality service at a great price and have had thousands of satisfied customers over the past 40 years and will continue to do so.  We look forward to working with our client to resolve this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In regards to the response listed above, I do not believe that it successfully addressed my complaint. [redacted] productions did an absolutely awful job. As previously mentioned the DJ did not act professionally, she acted like she was under the influence of alcohol and drugs the entire evening. She kept me away from guests and family members, many of which were from out of town and I haven't seen in years. It is one thing to talk to a client. It is a whole different story when you are making them talk to you for 10 min intervals the entire evening. She was not coherent, friendly, or organized. After I sent my original email to [redacted], I had many family members talk about the wedding day and mention how rude the DJ had been to them. After hearing complaints from friends and family members, I wanted something done about the service. I like to address things in a respectful manner, I felt that as an adult, I would address the problem directly instead of blasting the terrible service and the company all over the internet. As previously mentioned, after details were added from family members, my attitude quickly changed. My dad is a smoker, and mentioned to me that every time they went to smoke, the DJ was out there as well. Not only was she unorganized, acting as if she was inebriated, unfriendly, but she also was busy smoking the entire evening. As previously mentioned, she told me that she was only brought on as a back up and told me that she didn't want to be there. She messed up on TWO songs at the wedding which is unacceptable. It was a themed wedding, and when you mess up the songs, you mess up the theme. My whole life I have dreamed of the way I wanted my wedding to go, and because of the carelessness of this company, it didn't go as planned.I have not contacted any additional vendors by phone after the wedding. That is absolutely false, and proof that there is no organization by [redacted]s company. I contacted Elegant fare via email when looking for my lost wedding certificate and to inquire about a deposit. I actually mailed every one of my vendors thank you cards after the wedding, except for this vendor of course. All of my other vendors were wonderful and were organized. To me the most important part of a wedding is the DJ, they really set the tone. As mentioned previously. she set a terrible tone. She had so many awkward silences. She introduced us to the reception in a bland unexcited tone, and then stopped talking so we all (bridal party and ourselves) stood their looking awkward because she didn't say anything. She announced the bouquet, but didn't work with the other vendors and just pulled it out of no where. I wasn't anywhere close when she announced it. so I was just standing their awkwardly waiting for my bouquet to be found. My photographer had to run and get it for me. She didn't successfully complete the requirements of her job. She wasn't organized, and she wasn't present. I could have easily blasted negative reviews all over the internet after I found out what my family had said. But I decided to keep pursuing the fact that something would be done about it. I work all the time, I have a family and a life. I don't work normal hours, and I am unable to take phone calls. I was VERY clear about that. Instead of emailing me like I asked, I was called maybe 2 times in a 4 month period. I was forgotten about, just like my wedding music. All I originally wanted was a resolution, and I never received one.I STILL haven't received one. I requested a full refund because of the lack of care, the stress that has been caused and the terrible customer service I have received. I didn't receive the services I paid for. Half the time we couldn't find the DJ during the reception, she messed up music, and she was rude to guests and didn't play the music the requested. This situation has been very stressful and has given me anxiety and sleepless nights. I just want this taken care of and to finally be finished. It has not been and continues to be stressful on my life. I want a full refund. I will not hesitate to take this further if I need to. After complaints from friends and family. I am frustrated enough to take to wedding websites and give an honest depiction of my services with this company.
Regards,
[redacted]
